Debating the UL Secondary

I decided to buy the UL Secondary yesterday to see if I liked it before prices tanked. 

Everyone has pretty top of the line stats BUT abilities are a problem. 

Taylor is replacing Byard who gets Film Study, acrobat, and Pick Artist for 1 AP. 

Same with Neal at SS. 

Woolen is 6'456 and the tallest player on the UL Secondary is 6'3.

Am I missing something?

Personally, I think abilities are more important than stats at this point in the game all the top items are so close in ovr I would go for the ones that fit your scheme the best.

Abilities > stats but some guys just play better for whatever reason

Yeah abilities are going to concur anything. 

Golds with abilities would beat out 99s with no abilities

I already sold off the pieces and ended up gaining money, which is nice for a NMS team...

What’s the value of a gold99 over a normal 99?

As others have said, stats are so similar these days that the players with the best abilities (or multiple 0AP abilities,) are the best guys for your team. Kinda sucks that they aren’t making the UL’s really stand out from anyone else ability-wise.

It doesnt matter. The user who puts the player in the position to make a play matter.

I believe you made the right decision.

With every top-tier player item getting crazy good stats now, those UL boosts won't really matter and won't be viable compared to having the absolute best at that position (like having Deion, Woolen, etc instead of a UL defensive back group for the boosts; the only exceptions imo are o-line and possibly K/P when they come out).
