I got speed zone ND mam high ND still get burnt!
I agree. I call different plays and use good players and they get cooked by every receiver. Last year even tho there were so many glitchy plays you could at least get a stop. This year so many plays/routes/run game is too hard to stop.
It's obvious they catered to offense this year. In past Madden games, you'll be lucky if your receivers held onto a ball, now you can hit them with an 18 wheeler and they hold on to it. I'm not complaining since it benefits me too but it's still agravating. Zones not doing what they are supposed to do is probably the most frustrating thing and seeing them just stand there and watch. Then you have certain times where your player will make an insane play out of nowhere. It's just very inconsistent this year and it makes me not want to invest in defensive players. You can say "yeah, man coverage is king" but not all the time. There isn't any consistency
Speed is all that matters in mut.
Who should I keep Kearse or ware for Le

Neither imo. I would go with the free Reggie White and use the coins somewhere else
oline blocking sucks even more….loop blitzes seem fixed but now a guy is coming free up the a gap every snap, ID him and they still don’t block him or someone else comes in clean only sending 4….this game is bot trash.
Get your game genie unblockable blitz preplay code $4.99 bot trash gamel
Where are the guys who keep telling me gameplay is better on Current Gen?
Defense is great and super fun on Old Gen. None of this dumb ass casualization of the game just so little Timmy can think he's good on offense.
It’s so bad that playing squads, you have to want to play defense and then tolerate “you’re trash“ throughout the game. people demand to play offense because defense makes them look bad, and they KNOW that’s the reason they play offense.
Sound like a next gen problem because defense is very good on old gen. Almost too good in a way.
It's very much a pendulum each year with EA. last year for the first 2 months it was just impossible to beat press man without stacks and motion snaps and even then you were lucky to complete a slant. This year drags, whips, posts, corners all beat man regardless of ratings and all you have to do to beat zone is a simple flood concept or manipulate user with 2 runoffs and a mesh play.
I would say just enjoy being able to score frequently because it's a lot more fun than winning games 10-7 with a lucky TD and a long field goal. Next year we will be back to pocket qbs and brainless press man boxing everything. onside kick every time, don't invest heavily in defense, and blitz blitz blitz. It's the one thing that forces user error and gives you a chance at making a stop. Worst case scenario you get cooked and you're back to square one anyways but idk many players that can't sit back vs a 3/4 man rush and just dot every coverage so might as well bring the heat

I hate to agree with this but yeah honestly it's pretty spot on. I bring the heat a lot these days because of what you're talking about. It's not even really my style normally. And yeah, those things you're talking about with those routes and flood concepts are largely what I like to do on offense.

Ya, I feel like last year if someone understood how to run match it was super tough to play against if you didn't have specific glitchy match busters. I ran a lot of 4 man rush with inverted cover 3, sometimes a slot nickel blitz. I was looking forward to running that this year, but now I'm typically and all out blitzer with either man or a 2/3 shell occasionally vs a bunch player i'll double mabel the strongside to keep floods from happening and try to lurk crossers. DB fire 2, match on, and roll the cover 2 into a cover 3 cloud, lurk the weak side is also good until they figure out what you are doing.

I personally prefer zone blitzing (with match coverage, which imo it does work - call cover 3 seam not cover 3 sky etc, don't set zone drops to anything but default; it's not perfect and still vulnerable to a few things) because man blitzing is risky as hell especially with all the no huddling. I've tried coming out in man align as a default, I've tried base aligning, pressing, not pressing, hitting man align etc, and there's always the potential that coverage just gets screwed by getting snapped before you can adjust properly. That's before you get to the issue of things like corners, posts, slants, drags etc beating you either over the top or from underneath and then getting in space considering the lack of coverage. You have any thoughts on any of this?
