I’m sure this has been asked already. For defensive rally to activate, does the player have to be on the field or can they be dt4?
Pretty sure they have to be on the field, but I’d just sub them in on 3rd/4th down if they’re your DT4. Think you can also put them at Rush DT which will automatically do that

I think rush dt is in at all times in Nickel packages. Dang it’s really gonna be between Haley and Clark to replace with Hutch. Might just pay ap for defensive rally, it’s too valuable. Gotta get Hutch though.
Yes they have to be on the field for it to activate and it only restores pass rush points to D-linemen that are on the field.

Yes exactly correct. Has to be on the field and only on lineman, not LB

So if Haley is my rush re does it activate for him? I was thinking of keeping Haley(1ap) selling Clark (2ap) adding Hutch in his spot and adding 1ap defensive rally to Dockett. Haley is just one of the best rushers I’ve ever had, he’s insane. He’s had 25 sacks, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, a safety, and a batted pass. He’s insane lol

I actually wrote all about my testing with Defensive Rally a while back:

That should help answer some questions about it for you.
I would absolutely keep Haley (he’s a beast!). To me your best move would be to sell Frank Clark and get Madmaxx, you can get his X-factor (blitz), defensive rally, and edge threat elite for a total of 2AP. When his x-factor is active it wipes all o-line resistance bars.
Hutch isn’t going to have a good ability setup and Madmaxx with his x-factor and 0AP d-rally is by far the best choice.

Thanks for that, I’ll il give it a read. I understand about Hutch but I’m gonna take the sacrifice. I have to for my TT, it’s where most of my enjoyment comes from.
On a positive though, replacing Clark with Hutch will clear a roster spot for me, and I spy and zone my ends a LOT so Hutch with pick artist will definitely help me significantly.

Yeah that’s understandable if you have a Lions TT. I’m sure he will play well, just sucks they didn’t give him very good abilities.

His abilities aren’t horrible, but it really would’ve put the topping on the cake with either 0ap ETE/DoN. I do run a Lions TT, currently 97/96.

Ahhhh I remember reading that but forgot you write it

It wont help Haley because he's a OLB not a true DE. D rally only gives extra pass rush points to DE's and DT's.
