So shifting doesn’t change anything. It’s all based on the play call/formation. If they are at a position that is a Square on the Play Art they will get the pass rush point.
Nickel 3-3 means 3 are DE/DT and 3 are LB’s (by formation). Only the 3 that are lined up where the DE/DT’s are supposed to be will get the pass rush point. The guy that is lined up as a LB will not get the pass rush point.
Another example is 33 Cub. There are five guys on the line but only the 3 in the middle will get the pass rush point.
