dennard robinson reviews?

wanna pick him up but seen mixed reviews so far

It honestly heavily depends on your scheme. As a passer, he’s really bad. Like, REALLY bad. He has great stats and hits all the thresholds, but his traits really make the card awful. To make him remotely usable, you have to commit 7 AP for him. I can deal with the paranoid pressure trait, because fearless can help with that, but his release is god awful, making gunslinger the only thing that can remotely salvage this and because he doesn’t throw tight spirals, SFL is a must.

If you like to run with your QB a lot (and I mean A LOT), he could be a decent option, however, I still believe there are better options. Cam Newton has better traits and similar abilities. Patrick Mahomes has top tier stats, traits, and abilities and he has 91 speed. 
 

Dennard is a fun little card, but that does not make him good. I think his best role is probably as a backup, gadget-style QB that you can sub in to catch your opponent off guard due to his free fastbreak. But this is Madden after all, so do what you think you’ll have the most fun with!

Get Cunningham and save yourself the time IMO.  I’ve been running Elway since his release but have Cunningham as backup.  I’ve been running him as starter for a change up the last few days and I must say, he is as good as Elway minus the slightly faster release.  I’ve used him as a pocket passer but make sure I slip in a rollout or sneak every now and then to catch my opponent off guard and he has been VERY effective.

This Dennard is just lacking too many things you DO get with Cunningham.  Better release, better throwing stats and he’s taller to name a few.

If you run options all game then hes great. anything else and you best waiting for another qb to drop.

Randall is always a great card in MUT. I wanted a change up from Elway and tried him but I really need HRM to feel comfortable in my offense. Running stock plays and stock hot routes , I guess is ok in solos but I like to be able to change route combos. But he does play great...

I actually went with scrambler Brady which is actually a great card also.....he misses more throws than Elway though and his THP only gets to 98, Elway gets to 99...Cunningham also gets to 99 which is nice!

I gave him a try, but ended up swapping back to 93 Burrow. In the time it took Denard to throw a quick slant, I could walk up the road, buy a beer and a bag of chips, call my mom and maybe do a bit of cleaning.

He has been fine for me. I only have PLE on him for 2AP. I don’t think his release is bad, it shows Slinger 4 on here which is the 3rd best release in the game. It’s not like it’s Elway/Rodgers release but it’s very useable. 

I was using Scrambler Brady which was pretty good as well but I can tell Robinson’s mid/deep accuracies are much better. He doesn’t sail as many passes as Brady did. Only reason I may go back to Brady is I was only running Gunslinger/SFL on Brady for 1AP and getting the job done.

If you've been using gunslinger/Arod/Elway, pass on Denard because it will be infuriating how slow he throws the ball. But if you run a good amount of option plays, QB runs, etc. and want a more mobile QB, give him a chance. I was using Cunningham with free gunslinger and Denard lasted 2 games before I couldn't take it anymore. Plus if you want fearless/PLE, he's also a bit more expensive than other options.

It showed Gen 1 yesterday but now shows Slinger 4. That's wild. Wonder if EA changed it or if Mut.gg was wrong the first time.
