This happens to me as well especially on offense. Now I always do a solo battle or 2 before I jump online with a game. I really think the small differences throws off your timing on offense. On defense idk maybe your user is a little out of position by being faster/more agile. Kind of weird for the defense to be playing terrible. Maybe you just got ahold of someone abusing AI in that game.

If you don't have any money left, switch Grimm and Tornado and make him a LG so he still boosts guards.

Don’t listen to him about your QB. any of the top 5 guys are extremely usable. Is Herbie the best imo? Yes, but Vick is still the second best in the game. I’m a slinger 3 guy so my decision is easy, just running Herbert over stabler bc I prefer right hand in the quick passing game 

if you want slinger 3: Herbie, Stabler and sandcastle is a solid budget option. 

if you want slinger 1: Vick, Brees and Arod/ Flacco good budget options. 

this is the first madden in a long time where there isn’t a defined meta at QB, and you can use any of the top 5-10 guys and be successful. 

find the release you want and the abilities you want and roll with it.

I love it. Did you sell the Tornado? If you still have him he can boost players even as a backup. 

Herbert is the best QB in the game that anyone can get, no problems there.
