Did they remove ELO from Champs?

The matchups in this mode feel different in 24 than in previous maddens. My first 3 opponents were demons and after an 0-3 start, I won 12 in a row, with the opps seemingly easier as I went along.  That is not something I have had happen in this mode in the past  

With how stressful this mode already is I am hoping that no ELO is factored into Champs moving forward.

You might be right about the lack of ELO. I've heard it's just based on the number of champs games you've played that week. For example if it's your first game of champs in a week it tries to match you with someone else who is also on their first game. I wouldn't be surprised if EA changes matchmaking for champs. It sounds like EA isn't happy with how many people were able to go 25-0.

My understanding is that Elo-based matchmaking has never been a part of MUT Champs. Instead, in the past you've been paired with opponents that have a similar win total to you in the current week. That's why it starts easy and gets progressively harder the more wins you get.

I do think something happened last week with matchmaking. I don't think so many people would have been able to go 25-0 since many of them would have ended up playing each other. That would obviously have ended many of their perfect runs.

My matchmaking has been brutal in h2h and Champs.

3-5 h2h

1-11 champs.

I'm normally a 50-55% win ratio. I wish in H2H you got matched in your division.

I wondered how they all were able to do that when 25-0 was a rarity in the past. 
 

Typically after I would win 3 straight, the next opponent is really tough. With the first 3 opponents similar to who I would play for my 15th+ win, and then easier opponents after I started winning, I felt something had changed.

Wondering if it is when you played your games.  At particukar times all sweats tend to be playing at once.

Don’t give up Hope!

Last year, I normally won anywhere fro 13-16 games a week(I’m not that great).  This year, I started out 0-8 and was going to give up, but was able to end 10-15 with 2-3 games I could have won if not for one play.  I lost a heart breaker(because none of my states tracked) 31-30 because I missed a 2 pt conversion with 6 seconds left………Misswd out on 3 or 4 objectives because of that……….

I agree.  Just remove the 1mil incentive for 25-0 and keep the mode reasonably challenging.  It really is better for the broader player base.

Nice bounce back. Hopefully I can start a bit better next week.

TBH I only do champs for some comp rewards, I normally just play h2h but the rewards are awful there.

I got hosed in champs in week 1. Matched up against PC players like 10+ games in a row and they all were toters who somehow had suction cups on all of their blockers. I quit every game in the first quarter but low and behold the next matchup would be more of the same

I was so overwhelmed the first week, coupled with my feeling that all the pros were playing then, that I didn’t play any champs games week 1.

According to the mutleaks twitter account, it sounds like there was an exploit that helped people go 25-0

My matchmaking has been really easy, I’d say I’m an above average player but I’m 16-0 in seasons (back to back undefeated Super Bowl wins) and 13-4 in mut champs. So much better than I usually do
