I’ve noticed that discounted abilities are coming a lot slower than last year. Do we know when we’ll be seeing more discounted abilities? Or is this how it will be the rest of the year? Thanks.
It seems like EA is starting to give us players with discounted abilities if recent Legends releases are anything to go by. This year Legends players are a tier ahead in abilities compared to other programs in the same time frame. For example, in season 1 Legends had a tier 3 ability bucket while most other players only had a tier 2 bucket. Typically, when the a new season launches the ability buckets tiers for new items increased. Like how season 2 saw the release new players with tier 3 ability buckets and Legends with tier 4 buckets.
So I think EA will make players with discounted abilities the norm once season 4 starts.

No problem, looks like we might be getting more players with discounted abilities even sooner since the recently revealed cover athletes also get them if I'm understanding it correctly

I've said all along that it is EA's plan to move towards discounted abilities to get people to turn over their teams more often (rather than keep increasing the AP limit).
I'm sticking with my 50/50 Most Feared TT through Zero Chill but I'll be buying these Cover Athlete LTDs which look really good.

After last year it would not surprise me if that is the plan, more abilities on the field means more money for EA
