Yeah, you've got this all wrong. We might be grinding for Upgrade Tokens that the big-spenders are going for as well. We're not grinding for the petty rewards you just described, other than on release day when we're trying to get our prop planes off the tarmac.
You've extrapolated a scenario from an insignificant portion of the overall playing time NMS users expect to spend.
You have every right to spend your cash the way you wish. Just do so in a way where you're not painting NMS users as stupid. We might have obligations that prevent us from spending money like we won't need it for what lies ahead. If you want to spend hundreds of dollars a year on MUT because your economic fall-back plan is living in your parents' basement, go for it. Some of us don't have the luxury of mothers and fathers that don't expect us to excel at life.
