I spent an inordinate amount of time doing market stuff to make coin, mostly on the companion app, and I only do that because I enjoy it, it's like a game within the game to me. Otherwise, no it would not be worth it at all because it is an absolute grind to make coin through pre-building sets and investing. But fun for me

I chose not to spend other than buying the game because you can make coins easily by working the auction house. however I have been playing less and less. my peak was Madden 20 and 21. I don’t bash people for spending money however what EA did to you was wrong. Just imagine the Prize reward that you could have won. You are a good player you can hang with the best.
Appreciate it. Just getting back into things after not playing for a couple years.
It annoys me to no end how much EA de-values my time spent playing their game. Not that I should be getting 100k coins every hour, but sometimes its shockingly gross how little they actually give a player who is CLEARLY just grinding the game to level up and treating it like an RPG instead of a casino.
But that's why, because I absolutely refuse to give them any more of my money, they used to make it worth buying a little here and there, now it's not even worth that anymore. The AI is juiced to complete cheese shit and auto-balanced so that you never really get ahead like the stats say, there's so many unnecessary animations and extra crap that completely wastes my time just griding solos and the rewards for stuff this year take so much repetitive grinding it's borderline not even fun anymore. Not to mention overall the rewards you get from these programs are complete and total USELESS GARBAGE even for a NMS/solo player.
I really only play because in the end it's still a fairly straightforward game, it's easy to just kill some time with, I still like games that give you "progression" even if it's shit. But I will never give this scumbag company anything extra until they actually give me a good reason to, and not because they are trying to sucker me into a gambling addiction like they do most people
Lot of pocket watching going on in this post.
I haven’t spent nearly as much in MUT this year than I have in CFB, but the people saying it’s a hobby so who cares are right. Think of a hobby you have outside of video games. If you’re spending money on it cause you enjoy it, what’s the issue? I use steaming sites to watch football games, but I’m not gonna drag someone for buying Sunday ticket .

I don't brag about being NMS, but it's definitely a shame that users can spend their way to having a substantially better roster. Pretty soon the LTD's will have discounted abilities, and that's when the spenders will really start to distance themselves from NMS.
I hate that the real difference between NMS and spenders shows up in the random interactions. I get shut down at the line off scrimmage repeatedly, forced into third-and-longs, for no reason other than that the differences in attributes skew the randomness in the algorithms that decide block shed successes. I can't scheme around dice rolls. I just lost because the game decided so. Not really very footbally.
This right here. There is such a misconception of working the AH that it takes huge chunks of time when in actuality, once you're familiar with trends that are literally the same year to year, program to program, it takes little time to buy cards and then list them and while they're listed play the game.
Keep hearing this argument that people who don't spend anything or a lot don't value their time. No, I value my $ and don't see the need to throw big chunks of it away at things I can get relatively easily.
I'm not NMS, I buy the occasional Season offer because I like to open packs once in awhile.
NMS, Some Money spent, or lot of money spent..meh do wtv.

Exactly. If OP paid for this game before it's on EA Play, is he/she/they really one to judge value proposition? 💸
Electronic Arts is a 'for profit' with multiple sports franchises ⚾️ 🏒 ⚽️ like all monopolistic enterprises.
With all the happenings in the biz, this could be 'make or break' for the franchise.. despite insane valuations. 🤑
So to all the whales 🐳 out there, cheers to you. 🍻
And for all you NMS 'free loaders', keep sticking it to the man. 😁
Enjoy it or hate it or whatever while you still can. 👍
