I‘ve heard people say they were banned for buying too many cards from the app or from using the app while playing the game but I don’t know if they are true or not and I want to get it to snipe cards when I am not on. I just wanted to know because I don‘t want to risk getting banned for buying cards on my phone.
I’ve been banned in AH before, but I was RELIGIOUSLY sniping and flipping cards. I was doing the verification test every minute I felt. It took me about 2 1/2 months to get my access back from EA. Still had access to play MUT, but it was from May-July at the end of Madden 21 so I wasn’t super pissed since the game was pretty much over.
I’ve been using the app for at least 3yrs and never been banned. I frequently use the app while playing the game as well.
I use the app daily while I'm not at my console. Never simultaneously. I always promptly respond to captcha. No issues.
I've been using the app since Madden 18 and I haven't been banned once.

I had the exact same experience. I was AH banned in November after using the app to snipe and flip cards. I have been petitioning EA to get access to the AH since then with no response. So, I created a new account and started over. Unfortunately, I missed out on Stabler, because Casper and Deion are on my original account and Gronk is on my new account.
You can’t get banned for using the app. But you can get banned for breaking the rules while using the app.

This is the correct answer.

Theoretically this is true. In 2021 I was banned for buying all the necessary cards to complete all the rookie premieres. Spent a lot of time on the app finding the cards as cheap as possible. Finished them all and was banned the next morning.

Ok. This was the answer I was looking for. Gonna get the app now so I can buy cards when I’m not on. Thanks

Yeah, it helps a lot trying to snipe cards. Good rule of thumb though is to tone it down once it starts giving you the "verify you are not a robot" messages

As much as I respect you, and wish that this was accurate, I have to disagree from personal experience.
I have not violated TOS in all the years I have played Madden (which is since Madden started in 1988). In all those years I was banned once since the beginning of the AH in MUT. I was only banned from using the app however. I was still able to use the AH in-game. I guess that was lucky even though I did nothing wrong.
I used the companion app to make a few large sales and purchases. All fair deals. Nothing uneven or shady or anything like that. I got banned from using the AH on the app because of those transactions. I had more than enough coins and cards at the time; I certainly did not need to do anything violating TOS.
I have not used the companion app since. Apparently the way the app transactions are monitored, many of those transactions that are legit are flagged.

This is it ^.. I have used the App for years, and have never really had an issue. If you plan to work the AH, there is really no-way to effectively do that without the App.... Those that work the AH on the console are at a distinct disadvantage. That being said, I was 'restricted" (from the AH on the App only) for a week a few years back because i kept getting the Captcha verification puzzle like every 60 seconds. I got tired of doing it, so i skipped completing it for a day. Because of that, i couldnt access the AH on the App for about a week. I was still able to access the AH on the console for that week though. After that i was good to go. So as the poster stated above, if you are working the AH like a Beast, and start to get the Captcha puzzle alot, it's time to slow down for a bit.
You 100% can be banned for overuse of the app. I spent a few hours one evening sniping Redzone Royale cards. Granted I spent hours refreshing the players and I got the verification alert probably like 4 or 5 times. I should have known to stop but it randomly booted me and I got an email banned me from every online Madden title because my account got flagged for using bots or external tools. I've had a case open for almost 3 weeks without resolution unfortunately to get it reversed. I've used the app for years with no issue so I'm hoping it gets over turned but it's just crazy to think a company would ban you for using an app they created for their game! It's crazy.
As others have said... I've used the app extensively for years now and never had an issue. That being said, I've heard too many stories about guys getting banned for overuse so maybe I just got lucky. Literally nothing would surprise me about EA banning people for no good reason.
