Do y'all have a bias?

Do y'all like lean offense or defense?

Cause I just played a season, went 5-0, then lost in my NFC championship game. My defense gave up 20 points the entire season, but after it, I burned 500k on two new safeties. Never mind, my offense is so behind in the meta it has absolutely no hope of getting separation from man coverage; My user, core Isaiah Simmons, couldn't keep up on a 3rd down play so he's getting quick sold and Sean Taylor is replacing him.

I'm just curious if most Madden players spend equal money on both sides of the ball or heavily tilt it one way. In my mind, playing offense is the little thing you do in between the interception you just got and the field goal you're getting ready to kick. Like I take so much pride in my defense, offense is just kind of an afterthought.

I always build my defense first. Idk, i feel like you can use more budget options on offense and get by but you always need a solid defense. This year, i'm a bit more balanced but i still lean towards defense

I'm usually pretty balanced in my spending. I'm not particularly great at either side of the ball so I like to have good players on both sides of the ball. 

I would agree that it's easier to have a budget offense than a defense though. A budget offense can still have decent speed which is most of what you need to have success. You might not make the big contested catches but you can still get receivers open with good play design. A budget defense typically means you're sacrificing speed or if you have speed you're probably sacrificing coverage/block shedding stats. Both of those are bad situations you don't want your defense to be slower than the players you're trying to stop. But you're also in trouble if you're players repeatedly blow their coverage.

defo, i lean defense and offensive line. I can make do with a behind meta offense and win games, albeit with a struggle, but I cant make do with a behind meta defense. With offensive line its just for run blocking and time in the pocket. I upgrade defense before my offense, unless if i absolutely need to upgrade the offense
