Also., do you guys think there is even going to be a market crash?
This will cause a dip itself.
ive been playing Ultimate team on madden and fifa since its inception
every single year after toty hits and then those players leave packs - prices start to fall people are selling every card they have in attempts to get enough coins for the TOTY players - typically EA makes at least 3 or 4 MUST HAVE (or however you would label them) cards - high ovr with basement price abilities on the most popular theme teams
the thing to remember though is Ultimate Legends will continue after this - while TOTY is the focus, prices on UL should fluctuate, likely the cost of ULs dipping at initial release of TOTY - but then becoming the hot ticket item again once TOTY is out of the picture
the biggest variable in what to do is attempting to guess what Training programs will be released and what cards will be available
basically TOTY players will be target of most players during this time - cost initially be high - im thinking around 1.5-2.5 mil per card upon 1st release - as the program continues - the toty will likely fall down to the 700k-1.5 mil range (with exceptions for LTDs - these could get pricey)
while everyone is focusing on TOTY - try to scoop up ULs for lower prices, especially the cards to build sets not just the 97s
once toty busts everyones wallet - they will begin slicing the coin cost of toty players in order to move funds back towards the future ULs
i plan on buying the 87, 91, and some 95s (depending on price) ULs as toty is out and those are dropping in price - in order to put them back on the shelf for the shiny new UL must have players that EA will use to boost pack sells after toty has completed
that way you use the cheapest 87, 91, and 95 ULs you can buy - hold them, wait for new ULs, and then complete the sets of those new releases upon the immediate time of those players sets being released - thus gaining the highest value possible those ULs

I've played every Madden since 1988. I think this year's market is different. I have 250 or so various UL ser pieces. They're very easy to get and the sets this year use all wildcards.
I'm not sure stocking up on these will do much for your coin stack this year.
I have a feeling they change the structure of TOTY sets and the value changes.
I wouldn't do anything this year based on prior Madden versions. EA has changed things this year market-wise
I never liked the idea of selling off my team and would not suggest it personally
Years ago, sure but now... no. People have way more knowledge of the market nowadays than a couple years ago. It's not as effective. look at black friday, the top tier cards held value and the most recent time with tvp out packs top cards held value.
also... don't people want to you know play the game...
The problem with selling your team when the market drops is that we don’t know how long TVP’s will be gone. Last time they came right back and it screwed a lot of people. Now is a good time to sell off cards you’d like to upgrade, that way you can replace them with UL’s or higher OVR’s. But I don’t think I’d sell off my whole team.
When is Toty dropping? Or is the crash referring to TVPs potentially going away?

i sold players today :)
i wouldnt trust it. last time there was a 5 day timer or something like that on tvps half yall sold your whole team and lost a ton of coins lol
Yeah, I personally think it's too big of a risk. Because of the 10% tax, you still lose money even if you buy back a player at the same price as you sold it. If you sell your entire lineup, you will lose so much. And, if you get rid of all your players, you'll be stuck with a horrible lineup.
Also, did you guys lose money? I sold all my players during tvps and repurchased them after. I gained like 200k too.
i either watch plays or certain mechanics or stats that youtubers observe other than that the market is the market
i don't pay it no mind

great point on not selling off your team; i didnt even think of that, my post was written from the perspective of using your current pile of coin and training to make moves for sets you know will have players releasing at a high price point - even if it literally only lasts at that price for an hr - if you have one of the first ones up you can get a nice profit
Up until this year, I never sold my team. However, before TVPs left the store last time and this time too, I sold all of my expensive non-LTDs and converted the team to all cheap LTDs costing about 400k each and BNDs. The team remained 98 OVR so I can still play the game. I now have a stack of coins. When TVPs leave packs and TOTY comes out, I will rebuild the team with better cards at lower prices.
