To play online, yes.  However, you can set up a PlayStation "family" which will allow you to grant access to yer primary PSN+ subscription and basically share the online features without having to pay for a new subscription each and every time.  I set up an account for my son now that he's starting to get a little older, but we still often share my account.  I haven't set up additional EA accounts, but i'm sure it's feasible.  I just haven't found it super easy, nor seamless to hop around between accounts.
