I feel like I'm more agile if I don't spam it right away, but I can't stop myself from pushing that button!!!
Edit - to be clear, I'm a yes, but wishing I was a no. :(

You should never hit the turbo button right away, it disengages the offensive lineman.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? This statement cannot be true. This seems like some tinfoil at stuff.

Pretty sure there’s some truth to his statement. I’ve read the same statement a few different times from different people.
Unfortunately even though I believe him I still struggle with not pressing Turbo as soon as the ball is snapped. I have gotten a lot better but it’s still so hard to be patient.
Ive tried working on this but i just end up hitting turbo because there isnt enough time to hit the gap if im not turboing
No thoughts, only turbo
Hitting turbo behind the scrimmage gives defense better shedding. You're supposed to find your hole or opening and then boost. But madden is subjective so however works for you works for you
I used to be a 'yes' but I have gotten much better at being a 'no'. What helped me is playing with slow guards early on and running Powers. Guard pulls and if you bang turbo right away, you either beat him to the hole (where someone is likely waiting) or you end up running into him as he's trying to get there lol. Now my guards are fast, and still I hold off on turbo until I'm through the hole (or hitting the edge). Setting up your blocks has turned into a big part of effectively running, and that's hard to do if you're turboing right away.

Thanks for the inspo. I'll try to do better.

Yep, it's been this way for many years. You've got to hit the hole first and then turbo.

This lol. It’s just instinct

Interesting. I need to work on this in practice mode... no wonder so many people have trouble running the ball in MUT.
I'm one of those people who presses turbo off the snap.
On some runs I don't even press turbo at all. Don't need it if there's a hole. Last night I ran in from 15 and didn;t squeeze turbo at all on the run.
