I mean, speed on QBs doesn't seem to matter in Madden 23. As soon as they leave the pocket, pass rushers disengage and run down the QB even if the QB is faster than the defender..
Without escape.artist you really can't use a mobile QB unless you throw from the pocket more often than not.
I think with Vick if you can use a lefty , the 92 THP is more dangerous for defenses than the 90 speed. But I'd probably still opt for a quick release and accuracy
He gets SFL so he'll be very good.
I think he will effect the edge threat “meta”
Even w/ the slower behind the LOS play this year compared to previous ones, 90 SPD + whatever his high accel ends up being will prolly warrant using contains more than you need to now. ET doesn’t work if your edges are on a contain.
You combine that w/ the ability to get SFL, he will be the best QB in MUT as of tomorrow. I would rather not be screamed @ by edge threats and be able to throw faster passes on break to combat man/press than Aaron’s release.

The thing is... edge rushers are not overall that fast and I'm disappointed that we are getting speed so fast and so quickly. I remember we started off with 87 speed to start the game now we have 90 to 91 speed in-game and the NFL season hasn't been under 4 weeks yet. they even dropping fan favorites guys that we would see by thanksgiving or Christmas in the first week of the season it's very concerning how were going to be by the end of October

I think we were like there to start to the season? So it is slower but some of these guys are that fast so it is what it is.
He will most certainly be effective especially in the right hands. I never use Vick's cards so i probably wont get him but if I pull him then I'll definitely use him cause he looks great.

I will definitely try Vick out but I do think he won't be able to get past edge rushers, even ones with 80 speed, because that's just the mechanics of the game this year. Personally, I am going with Montana even though I have A-Rod. As a Giants fan growing up, no one scared me more than Joe Cool. IMO he's the GOAT. I know you're rocking Brady....and the guy is definitely either the GOAT or the second best...but I personally saw both in their prime. The game was very different when Joe played. A LOT of contact was allowed. Joe could scramble. He would get nailed constantly and with guys literally in his face would make the perfect throw (hence Joe Cool). That dude was ice. Never saw a QB who just disregarded pressure like him. Or who could run the West Coast O but also throw the deep ball with the accuracy he did. Brady can read defenses like no one ever could. And he can throw every type of ball. He throws receivers open and makes everyone around him better. But I never saw anyone do what Montana did. Guy never lost a Super Bowl. Anyway, I thin it's great that he's in the game and I did personally hate Vick when he played. Having kids, I don't like someone who sets an example like he did with the dog fighting...literally putting a dog down with his bare hands.....so it is always hard for me to use Vick cards. But out of curiouslty I will give him a run and see if he breaks contain
I have been wondering if COD or something else also impacts how the QB moves in the backfield. Mariota seems a lot smoother than Tebow when behind the line of scrimmage, and Tebow has one more speed. I am sure Vick will have higher COD and may be much quicker behind LOS.
Just when the game ain't broken enough, they release Vick with 90 speed while encouraging us to play Online for rewards both on house rules and the CP (which still has yet to give us our rewards) Yeah he will be effective OMG.
