Does adding RT chemistry for 500 Training have a loss of ability?

Does adding RT chemistry for 500 Training have a loss of ability? 

If I use training to add RT ability to Tyron Smith, his OVR reduces from 88 to 84. But If I look at his individual stats for STR, PBK, RBK, PBP, PBF, they seem to be higher than 84. 

Will he play worse as a RT even if I add RT Chemistry? 

I think 500 training is kind of expensive and is not worth it if he plays worse.

don’t have any data or game patch notes, but from personal experience offensive lineman play just fine out of position. i’ve been using Tyron Smith at left guard. 

also I wouldn’t spend the training unless you need the chemistry for a theme team.

The only reason to spend training to open a new position is if you intend for that card to count towards chemistries. If you play a card out of position without unlocking it as a secondary position, the card will not count towards any chemistry bonuses. The card will still get bonuses if the chemistry threshold is already met, though.
If you need Tyron Smith for Cowboys/Jets chem, then moving him to RT would necessitate that you add the RT chem. If you don't need the chemistry, do not spend the training.

I do not need his team chemistry, I was just trying to see how or if it affects his play and abilities. Something seems to be going on that he turns to an 84 OVR from an 88 OVR.

Secondary position chemistries do not alter the algorithm that determines OVR. OVR in itself is irrelevant.

Most OOP's just drop the OVR but most stats stay the same.I have Tyron & Munzo as my LT/RT and both play great for free cards.I play a ton of other players OOP and they seem to play just fine.Like Van Ginkle that dude is a complete Monsters no matter where you put him
