Still a relatively short period of time. You seem to have picked up on most of the intricacies of the game.
I am just starting to understand the X Factors and abilities.

Well, I wr0k remotely. Sometimes there's waiting in between certain tasks, a Madden focused forums can hover off on a side screen, allowing me to constantly be reading and researching (or bullshitting with community members who have invested a TON of time teaching me the game). I feel liek I've finally gotten a decent conceptual understanding of things. Although I'm still wildly inconsistent, especially on offense.
EA certainly doesn't make it easy on us. The in-game descriptions or woefully inadequate, if not outright misleading. We're basically forced to do homework to figure out which abilities even work, let alone are best in class. That's half the battle right there. No casual can figure out this ability and X-factor shit. Even trying to explain the difference to a 9 year old can be daunting.
Once we realize that OVR rating doesn't mean jack squat, we're getting ahead. Stats barely matter, it's all based on specific thresholds. Broadly speaking. Heck at this late stage in the year, regular abilities barely even matter. What sets cards apart now is X-factors as passive abilities. 🏆

Do Tiers matter?
If I use a tier 4 pick artist would it be anymore effective than a tier 1 pick artist?

Wait, what? Where am i? What are we discussing? I'm only half joking, i'm seriously lost here. Can you please help me to define tiers pretty please? I honestly have no idea what you are asking, i'm too dumb to understand. I'm not aware of any different tiers or variations of Madden Ultimate Team abilities. There is only Pick Artist.
However, the MUTgg team has compiled a list of suggested tiers, which are, in order of best to worst:
Sorry for the confusion on my part, i'm just not tracking here. Guess i'll go have a cup of coffee and try to wake my fatass up. I've barely played ~10 hours of College Footballl, but i believe that game has various tiers of abilities (kinda liek NBA2K) where you can get Silver, Gold, Platinum, etc. And they are definitely better as you scale up.

However, the MUTgg team has compiled a list of suggested tiers, which are, in order of best to worst:
- Elite - the absolute best abilities in the entire game, practically everyone should be using these abilities whenever possible
- Gold - great abilities which will make a significant impact on overall gameplay
- Silver - perhaps some use, in some specific instances
- Bronze - typically you want to avoid these

Pretty sure he’s just asking if there is a difference between the pick artist thats in the different buckets. Thats the only thing I can think of in regards to tiers. If that’s the case no it makes no difference which bucket you’d put pick artist it all works the same. I’m just not real sure where the question came from, haha very left field

Like Law stated......I was curious if an ability in say.....Tier 5 would be any more effective than the same ability in a lower tier?
Pick artist in tier 1 would have the exact as effect as pick artist in tier 5?

Correct it doesn’t matter which bucket the ability is in then, it will all work the same. There are just usually better abilities in the higher buckets that you’d want to use and have pick artist per se in one of the lower ones if it’s available.

THANKS for clearing things up, glad Law is on the scene. I was totally lost. Obviously you figured it out with a little help from our friends.
All the buckets are the same, but typically the discounted buckets are towards the very end. Abilities are all the same, regardless of cost, or location / order of those buckets. Take whichever is cheaper (in terms of AP or Training costs). For example; Tier 2 Pick Artist might be only 200 Training at 2AP, however you may be able to find a 0AP Pick Artist for 2500 Training in buckets 4 or 5. Both will play exactly the same.
Good question, sorry i was too slow to understand, at least initially. PLEASE keep those type questions coming, i'm usually a little better at figuring things out and providing helpful context.
Wooooo said:It took me about 5 to 6 hours to get to level 20.
I didn't buy any packs and started with a team in the 60's.
Got Malik Nabers upgraded, got Singleton as a RB and up graded Cornerbacks as I played. It is brutal playing until you get a decent RB And some corners.
We get a few players for Madden 25 and get to start at Level 10 in the field pass I think.
starting at level 10 is more than enough reason to grind it. thank you

No problem. Thanks for the help!
When using multiple different abilities, is there any advantage or disadvantage?
For example, I have Dave Robinson loaded with everything and XP Colossus.
His Colossus seems less effective than what people got out of George Karlaftis.
It could be because everyone nearly every lineman has secure protector, but I figured I would ask to get more opinions.
