I ask because EA is releasing a LTD RT tomorrow that weighs 249 lbs.
If 249 can't hold up against 290 then what's the point?????

The point is that folks stopped spending $ on packs so they are going to try and wait them out with a terrible group of legends.
I’m pretty certain next week will be much better…

That's all well and good but it doesn't really have anything to do with the question of weight in Madden 23

Not to mention that LaDainian is a pretty insane card. This weeks release isn't that bad
This is a good question. Would like to know, as well.

Short answer yes it helps win more dice rolls
the problem with older legend line men is that they weren’t the big box of potatoes they are now and in a s video game, it matters.

Thanks Kaotic. I've seen some of that on Reddit, and Mutleaks. It's great info..... but somehow weight doesn't seem as big a factor this year.....
Are we sure that write up is for Madden 23 and not 22?
Example..Hilgenberg flattens much bigger defenders, a lot better than Biadaz did ....and he very small for an O lineman. Saquon seems to fall forward just as much as Marshawn or Rickey or even Bettis...
I KNOW the past 2 years weight was a huge factor but it didn't seem as important this year.....

See, I just checked and this writeup was the day Madden 23 dropped......so I think there may be some changes in the dynamic for 23.....but I could be totally wrong

he keeps it up to date every release. You just have to go through his past posts but he does it.
I knew when I saw brown and rag that they’d be BIS now based on stats and weight

fall forward mechanic is very different this year.

Yeah I saw that but it's all subjective. In REAL gameplay, Brown isn't better than Munoz and Biadazs or Ragnow aren't better than Hilgenberg. I've had all these guys....extensively used them. Functionally, overall pass and run block, in space, in a power run game, all com ined....pulling, blocking fast small guys and big strong guys, overall the best blockers I've used are Munoz, Matthew's, Hilgenberg, Scherry and Gregg. Even at 249 Gregg had like pancakes in 3 straight games and was able to get out on pitches, and hold off edge rushersike Ware, Reggie,, LT, etc. As far as TEs, Iron Mike is the best in space and atv the end of the line overall. Math and formulas are all good (I'm a financial analyst myself so I value numbers) but they don't depict real gameplay results
That analysis also doesn't factor in chems.or abilities. I have 40/40 legends with Let it rip Epic strat card. My Legends linemen have +2 str, + speed, agility, accel, etc

BTW Ragnow was getting blown into the backfield on inside runs. Hilgenberg at like 50 lbs lighter was pancaking 2 guys on 1 play. Biadasz got manhandled.
I won a game today in someone else's SB because I was running inside zones and his D line was just getting blown off the ball. Took 2 of those 60+ yards to the house. Ladanian wasn't even touched.
It’s just base.
dice rolls, strats, and abilities change everything. So it is subject but overall, you’ll have better luck with the higher guys.

Sounds like the opponent might have been pass committing if you’re blocking was that much better.
