Dollar struggles against the run, but is this lineup good enough to stop run?

Mario Williams - DT - Run Stopper

Odeh, Hutch - Edge - No Outsiders

Ryan Clark, Seau - Sub Nickle LBs - Reinforcement, Tackle Supeme and Out of my way - I will blitz one of these and User the other one to cover RB or 5th WR

Slot CBs - Samuel, Bavarro - Reinfocement/Tackle Supreme

Outside CBs - Revis/Tatum - Tackle Supreme

Safeties - Larry Wilson/Ryan Neal - Secure Tacklers

This will allow me to run Cover 0 with 4 bottle necks, then dropping the 2 safeties in deep zone in case one bottleneck gets beat

I stop the run in dollar fine. Spinner is my go to when I know they're running. User responsibility is clean up the middle and keep them from getting outside the blitzing cbs. Can easily stop most for loss of yards or no gain doing that.

I have inside stuff and no outsiders or run stuffer across my 3 linemen and uni/reinforcement on every db along with ST/TS/SW that way I know they can cover man enough if they try to pass when I think a run is coming.

Once I get them behind the sticks and know they will pass, I goback to my normal zone scheme.

Sorry pal but this is a dumb (and depressing) question. Playing 3 down lineman should leave you exposed to the run. Dollar is a pass defense. It's like playing goalline and expecting to stop the pass. Sadly it can be quite effective in Madden but it shouldn't be.

Honestly it depends. If your opponent is in a form that they cannot pass a tone out of such goal line, then yes you can shut it down as you just have to make a few minor shifts and run commit.

However, if you go up against a formation such as strong close, that is a great power run scheme, as well as several deep pass and play action plays, it is nearly impossible to stop with just dollar. I often utilize the strong close formation to attack dollar, because a can run ball down repeatedly and make them run commit, and once they do I can set the appropriate protection by blocking some combo of my TE, RB and or FB, and burn them over the top for a large chunk play/one play td.

In summary, I would never try and rely solely on one defensive formation. If you love dollar, then I would recommend also finding either 3-4 or 4-3 set that is in your playbook, and using that to stop heavy runners, and using dollar as a base defense against bunch, trips, spread and other shotgun/3 wide receiver sets.
