safeties cannot win against lineman.
defensive backs cant replace linebackers.
the game is not broken because you cant stop the run with 185 pound players against 300 pound lineman and fullbacks.

There should be a slight shift in the defensive meta for a little bit. Also, I could see more players with discounted abilities like secure tackler, enforcer, deflator, crusher, etc. used on defense and less coverage abilities.
the real problem is the absence of high end coverage linebackers and the nerfing of their ability to play the pass.
they need a moderate tweak so they can play well in zone on passing plays and decent man to cover te and rb on pass plays.

Definitely. We don't want them playing just as well as DBs, but they should be decent enough in coverage to stay with a TE or HB.
