The whole reason I assumed EA delayed TOTY was to make sure overlap doesn't happen but I guess I was wrong considering half the TOTY players already have a 96+ OVR card. But congrats to EA don't know how you found a way to mess up the TOTY promo this bad but you did it!

agreed... most of these guys have 96-97 ovrs already so was hoping we'd see some other guys get a chance to have a top end card. Like JJ on my theme team is already end game, don't know why I would get a 98 version.
And also they have sauce and others in there, but no Woolen. He should be a nominee after that year, even with his MCS card because it was limited to who got it.

You're correct, the main reason for delaying TOTY was to avoid duplicates. I'm not voting for anyone with a 95+ card unless all the options for that position already have a 95+.

Agreed. I wouldn't be shocked if that was just an excuse because they didn't have anything ready for TOTY so they just made up the whole "We don't want duplicates" reasoning. No shot that was legitimately the reason when most of the options for voting already have 95+ overall cards

Aaron Jones only has an 89. People could vote to upgrade his card in the specialist category. Jamaal Williams could also use an upgrade in the halfback category.

Yup. I'm only going to vote for Derrick Brown at DT. If you're required to vote for more than 1, then I will pick the players with the next lowest overall.
It's the same thing with rush DE, both Wilkins and Hargrave just got 96s (with most people having a free BND Gravedigger). Cam Heyward only has an 88 overall and should be the only choice.

It's comical how many versions of some cards there is. It's the main reason the auction house and related menus are so painfully slow. They figured out it's more profitable to sell us multiple versions of the same cards instead of letting us go the cheap route of PU cards. And I'm sure someone had to be overruled when they decided to use PU's on legend cards.

The candidates are the candidates… you can only control who you vote for. I would say what EA did worked because now we know which players still need upgrades and which ones don’t since they may have just gotten one. SO, vote for the players that didn’t just receive upgrades. Pretty simple

Only problem is that people can vote as many times as they want, so a bot could completely override any other votes
