Doese it feel like NMS is dead to anyone else? I'll admit I did spend a little bit during blitz, but other than that i am always NMS, and its getting ridiculous, multiple promos with no solos, h2h, or field pass. bnd rewards are awful, it was looking like madvent was going to be great for nms with getting a free pack of 3 83+ every day but now its just twitter raffles for merch and +1 boosts for cards no one uses. meanwhile its starting to seem like there is a new $50-$100 offer everyday and there will probably be no change unless something drastic happens in EA.
This is exactly why I stopped playing the game.
Hopefully they don't do the same thing to NCAA when it comes out

honestly the only reasons im still playing is because its the only football game out there that is really and descent at all until NCAA football come out. I've found myself playing more franchise and less MUT lately.
I think it's all in your mind, my NMS spent team would be 89-90 right now.... how much better you need? you can only have a 91-92 max?
IMO you can be NMS and do fine IF you are willing to spend an enormous amount of time on the game - somewhat how it's always been but I do agree they have made it next level harder this year with nerfed rewards and an increased focus on the pay to play cards being far and away the best in the game

Mine is 90 almost 91……with not much to play the game for. My seasons progress hasn’t progressed in a month. Approaching 70 wins with a playoff, Super Bowl, or staying up bonus. 100s of thousands in rewards missed. New promos are basically pay to get, so no reason to engage there.

I hear you but honestly if you played a squad like mine you'd have to be about 25% better than your opponent to play him even.
I don't have the reflexes anymore to play much comp Madden but I can still see the difference. My team is 92 OVR but closing in on 93 with boosts. My top 7 or 8 are 94s. That may not seem like a big difference between a 92 OVR and a 90 OVR but it really is when you factor in the skill positions and positions that count. My top 4 TEs are faster than a lot of teams fastest WR. It makes a difference.
On top of that, expensive cards get better AP discounts so you can have more/better abilities on your cards
So yeah, I think NMS players are definitely at a disadvantage
Its more grinding and flipping

definitely a disadvantage, 'killed' might have been a slight exaggeration, but not by much. I have the skill to compete with most people i come across online, I'm not gonna win a MCS or Madden Bowl anytime, but i can hold my own, i've been in Legend several times this year with a mostly budget team and a few good cards. but it is really hard to keep up now, NMS is possible to have a 93 ovr or whatever the best possible team is right now, but i dont have the time to put in the 5-7+ hours a day of grinding required to do that, and im pretty sure most others don't either.

Oh I don't think there's any way for a NMS player to get to 92 OVR unless they play constantly and are the best of the best, it's tough

if you have been in legend with a NMS team what more do you really want? you are kinda letting people brainwash you man, legend and some superbowls is about all you going to get out of the mode anyway? how are you not keeping up? it's people with full top players at every position that don't get legend.
Ea wants everyone to spend
i will not be
i think it was the best year to be NMS up until harvest promo. We were getting free all madden masters, multiple free legends, multiple most feared masters, there were a lot of top tier free budget cards like the hispanic cards. i used foster until most feared and he was great. comp pass cards too
as of late, with the disappearance of free legend packs and solos/sets the NMS grind has come to halt.
luckily i invested and used these budget cards when it was NMS time to shine and i’ve got 15m to show for it now but if you started the game in the last month, being NMS would be extremely tough
they are slowly killing mut all together.

i'll play you right now with an 87 overall squad, and I bet you lose unless you use some type of top 1-2 youtube meta offense/defense. 6-1/bunch etc. in which case you don't need the top players anyway. the game just isn't consitent, it's dice roll match up's, bad hb's and wr's beat top tier db's all the time.
