Didn’t EA advertise physics based tackli systems this year???
how is it one person tackle equals a loss of yds or a minimal gain. But if 2 or 3 tackle it’s a 5-7 yd fall forward almost always. What bs physics is that!?
alao I’ve noticed a lot on KO if you get hit by 2 players simultaneously it cancels the KO lol. So broken. Great job EA.
Physics based tackling is just another made up thing they marketed. Nothing new. Almost all the things they market are made up or grossly misrepresented. Its not just them, alot of companies are like that now. Its great isnt it?

This is so spot-on correct. Living with EA logic is liek backwards day or something. I've been SUPER frustrated lately with all the gang tackles that result in RBs falling forward for 5+ yards. Gave up a goalline tutty last evening due to that nonsense. And the pass coverage is somehow even worse... dudes blindly throwing into double-coverage, only to get bailed out when the dueling-KOs (or dualing, heh) manage to cancel one another out.
After seeing this year's cycle of "BOOM Tech" (which again, will just be the exact same physics engine) marketing speak, well... i don't have a ton of confidence that much has changed. Looking forward to phase 2 Playtest at the end of the month.
This game needs to be rewritten top to bottom, but it's not really feasible in a single calendar year with limited Dev resources. That Frostbite game engine has been outdated for SO long, i think it's from liek early PS3 era... perhaps older.

It’s early ps3. I remember it was the massive advertisement and marke for battlefield 3.
also agreed. the catch stuff I can live with. KO be obnoxious anyways. However. The gang tackles on runs that are 3yd losses then somehow turn into 5-7yr gains is beyond stupid and broken. Needs fixing asap.
Ya EA is only consistent with one thing, being inconsistent. They market one thing and then their game shows another. The glitches which should be easy to fix after they’ve been making this game for like 40 years.
But it just seems like year after year the same problems persist and the upgrades mean nothing and the game only gets worse. Hopefully CFB isn’t another poorly done madden copy and I don’t have a lot of hope for madden 25.

Ya the game needs to be completely redone, either by EA or another company. I don’t know what the answer is but I know things need to change and soon because the madden releases keep getting worse and every year EA claims it’s a ”make or break” year but then they just keep making a bad product smh.
They say the same gimmicky crap every year. Ive played the m25 beta past few days and its literally the same exact game. They added maybe a handful of new animations and made hit sticks a liitle easier to land but all the ability ko's/gameplay etc are still practically the same. The lineup screen has actually gotten worse imo and if you thought the current way of activating abilities was confusing, it doesn't get any better. Maybe they polish it up some before launch but its not looking great atm.

I'm waiting for email confirmation to get myself into phase 2 play test, trying to NOT fall for the usual hype machine, but MUT has its claws sunk into me pretty deep.
I kept hearing they hired or promoted a new lead Designer or something, but figured they'd be giving us basically the exact same game... yet again.
I need to just retire from this madness. Game cannot improve while supporting last generation of console, if ever. This M25 cycle we should begin to hear chatter about that exclusive NFL licensing agreement, it expires kinda soon. Not soon enough. I think the final year is optional. I'm not an attorney.

Menus and lag and input problems are one of the biggest problems with madden IMO and should be SO easy a fix if they cared. But alas, they dont.

The only thing that really stands out to me are the colors are a lot less bright and cartoony (more darker toned) and the crowd does a few more animations(and the Goal post directional flags move rather wildly like theres a constant wind storm?). Other than that its still the same turd no matter how much you polish it and as you said, it needs a complete overhaul from scratch unfortunately. My desire and itch to play some form of simulation football will too however more than likely force me to buy said turd as there are no other options.
And as OP stated...a lot of dumb glitches on breaking tackles/drops etc but thats expected

We need to start a support group or something. Not to make light of my ongoing issues with MUT addiction, but holy hell. Where do we even turn for simulation fatball? I want this game to just be decent, but I'm apparently asking for way too much hoping for a fair, balanced, consistent and most of all modern competitive gameplay experience.
And I'm obviously happy to pay hundreds, if not thousand(s?) of dollars for this experience, which sadly does not seem to exist.

Ya, they Definitely improved it but far from perfect.
As long as these corner-cutting tossers rely on Frostbite the game will be shit. EA shifted to Frostbite to put all their games on one engine to save money and Frostbite was only ever intended for FPS games like Battlefield. Google it; there's pages devoted to this BS.
So they're stuck. Madden needs burning down and starting again on an engine that supports games like it. I'm not a developer but I imagine that takes ages and costs mucho dinero. EA have no interest or motivation to do it - us saps have to buy the game if we want to play football and they know it. So every year it'll be BS like "Precision Passing", "Field Sense" and this years laughable "Boom Tech". Its insulting tbh, they take us for idiots and we've no option but to put up with it. Wasn't THIS supposed to be their "make or break year"??
Look at the delayed trailer release for all you need to know about EA. They can't even do that FFS.
