I’ve never known it to be this bad. Card prices are way to high while all the challenges and and even some packs, dish out BND cards. It means that people are being forced to pay if they want to be competitive. NMS can’t be competitive in squads or 1:1. I know some people will chime in and have 10 million coins and a great team being NMS. I’ll save you the time….great for you, we’re all impressed. Ok back to the problem, is anyone else feeling like this, this year? The challenges aren’t paying out so grinding is a waste of time and in order to move up the ranks you need a good team. The greed this year is unprecedented.

Challenges and the promo field passes are definitely weaker this year. You used to be able to get a full champion from promos, even though they were BND. The cards made it way easier to build and also better rewards for grinding.
Challenge rewards are so bad this year

I'm thinking the same thing (though to build a competitive NMS team). Historically I spend money...late last year I decided my return on investment was not worth it (spending money to save time). So...this year decided I would minimize any money spent with EA (paid for the game)...and...team struggles (part of this can be attributed to my piss poor skills)...so I go out...build some sets...work the AH...and look to upgrade....any card that "could" (I say "could" as it has been my experience the numbers on the card mean next to nothing and cards gonna play as EA wants) make a difference is very expensive. Well...at least there are Solo Seasons.
No doubt, rewards are crappier. It wasn't that long ago you'd get all sorts of packs and cards for free that you could build players with via sets. EA just wants to milk its customer base for as much $$ as possible while putting minimal effort into the game or its development these days. Everyone knows this.
Personally I just refuse to play that game and do OK. I've no idea how NMS players build hero coin stacks but I think you can still just about build a semi-competitive team without spending. I'm about 83OVR I think - Raiders TT.
FWIW I think spending big to get a God Squad is dumb. For one, the games DDA will fuck you 7 times out of 10 and a 5 - 10% advantage in player numbers wont make that much difference anyway. Particularly if you're not that good to begin with. Its been obvious for years that the numbers on the cards mean next to fuck all - the game plays how it wants most of the time.

I agree with you 100%!
We are getting half of the player rewards and pack rewards because they removed the Comp Pass this year. There is no reason to have PlayStation + or play any Head to Head unless you are one of the few that is in contention for prize money. That would take a lot of skill and more money and time than most of us are going to give to this game.
The rewards for playing solo battles and solo challenges are pretty bad. There is nothing given out that will improve your team. There is no reason that we should not be given a reward equal to the opponent we have to play. If we are playing 85 OVR teams and beating them and making Legend status, the reward should be at least an 85 OVR and it is not.
The opponents in challenges are actually better teams or higher OVR than most of us have because they are so stingy with the rewards. This must be especially tough for anyone who is just starting to play the game. All the kids that get this game for Christmas will probably be done playing it by the new year if they do not change what they are doing.
A lot of us have not even been given the stuff we paid for and earned that would help our team like the Rookie Premiers and Ultimate Alumni Players.
I have only been playing since the middle of Madden 23, but the detrimental changes are numerous and have drastically decreased enjoyment of this game!
Everything is a ltd

Money + cheese outclasses BND. At best, I get three consecutive stops, and then the AI Breaker gets called, and I get to play more defense if I don’t give up the touchdown outright. Still swatting what ought to be picks. But my offense is getting more competitive, probably because I’m learning to cope with defensive cheese, and have a lineup that meets certain critical criteria.
Yeah I hardly play mut. I just do superstar KO and road to glory
While I agree that rewards from solos and field passes are at an all time low, the rewards you can get from winning online are far greater than they ever are. If you can win 14 games in MUT champs you get 100k plus packs. If you win 16 you guarantee 200K because the 86 players quicksell for 100k. If you win a superbowl in H2H in Legends tier you get a 200k quicksell. Also gauntlet rewards are insane. I think this all balances itself out. I would love if they could throw us a bone like at least a BND champ from a field pass, but I can't deny that online rewards are really good this year.

I agree. I also think that if are playing someone in their superbowl, and we win, WE should get the Super Bowl rewards. If someone wins the Super Bowl, EA needs to pay out super bowl level rewards to whoever wins it.
