Finished Level 50 in Season 2 - not sure what to do with the tickets

Yesterday I grinded out Level 50.

I have DeJean upgraded to 89. Tyron Smith and Burns both to 88.
3500 tickets are left. I would have had ~4700 but I spent 1200 on the 83+ Boom or Bust pack which gave me Sapp (I don't complain).

Burns played really, really well for me with tons of sacks, tackles, fumble returns and the occasional pick. So upgrading him could make sense.

But carrying over the 3500 tickets to S3 for Dawkins makes sense, doesn't it? (especially as I could use him although I have decent safeties).

What's your recommendation? Thank you.

I am almost in the same boat except already did the second 89 (son suddenly did not like Daniels so switched Tyler’s tokens to Cousins and needed 89 token to get HS). I think best to save tickets for next season. Better to upgrade a player like Dawkins quickly in 1 week. I also know it will be a waste since safeties now are so good, but he is also my favorite player.

I only messed w/ two season players this time (Tyron + Cooper), so I had a lot left over.  I spent my extra on BOB or the 81+ rec. packs.  

I didn't see the point in holding them.  They are going to gate the OVR of the S3 players just like they did S2.  I don't see the need to rush to get Dawkins up to an OVR that is on par (or below) what I'm currently using.  I would rather have coins to work w/ now then rush to have an 89 OVR NAT card in S3.

Great points on both sides here. I  believe they will gate the upgrades even more for S3, considering the backlash they got for S2 when no one knew the tickets would cross over. 
Note: I have no solid evidence to support that other than EA being the greediest, least player-friendly, most inept and out-of-touch-with-their-audience company in the history of video games.

I am saving, personally. I am only using Tyron Smith right now, and I have upgraded Cooper with the field pass upgrades. None of the other players will make the squad now. I think I'll be heading into S3 with ~4,000 tickets.

Yup!! Might as well spend em. Wish we knew what they would cap season 3 players at. Or EA does everyone dirty and don't carry over. Even though ther  supposed to.

If it weren’t for the fact that the S1 players could equip any of the 32 team chems, none of them would be on my roster. McCaffrey, Alstott, Ward, Crosby, and Lewis are all still in my lineup.

The S2 players have superior stats when compared with S1 players, but the lack of chems means that I’ve only made room for Cooper and Burns. While I’d like to move on from the RP QB Daniels, I don’t think Penix or Cousins are where I’ll ultimately go. So in the end, I will have purchased upgrades for only one S2 player, save the 89 OVR upgrade that I will have purchased twice.

I’m saving my tickets. In less than a month, the S2 players not named Cooper will be off the lineup, while I will very likely still have at least Alstott and Lewis providing chems. 

Save your tickets. The upgraded S2 options just aren’t good.

Looking to the future, there might be some Sx players that knock my socks off and for which I’ll max upgrade on day one of the new season. Barring that, I’ll be banking tickets as late as entering into Season Seven.
