“game is dead”=you cant win if teams are even

people say the “game is dead” at the point where there is parity on most teams,

basically, when there so many 99s that almost every team is stacked and the big spenders arent special anymore.

when strategy is the last determining factor:

most folks quit because they really want tecmo bowl, opposed to a real gridiron chess match.

i dont believe most folks even like the actual sport of football, they just want to feel like a winner….

until “the game is dead” and the glitches and whale rosters dont mean much.

just an observation.

The game loses its luster when everyone is 99 because it's no longer strategy, it's overpowered cartoon characters. 

I like the idea of team building and seeing what build is best for what opponent. If they're all identical then that's not football at all. 

Some take a million coins and spend it on one big ticket player. Others take that million and buy multiple lower players. I like that there's no one way to win.

when all the teams have high powered players:

there is no advantage.

your 6’’8 wr with 99 speed is matched with a 6’8 cb  with 99 speed.

so now you have to be CREATIVE instead of exploiting mismatches because you have a player that is impossible to defend.

I understand that part, I just don't think it's like football. 

In the NFL you can count on one hand the number of corners that can close off a side of the field. If a team pays them their value they have to not pay elsewhere. Their run D may be suspect or their offense isn't as explosive. 

From January to March is my favorite time because, outside of unlimited money teams, we're all seeing how people build their teams differently with big ticket items and more affordable players.

i stay at legend in h2h and my tt is ovr 96.

i just notice folks try to jump ship when 99s start flowing.

i been playing mut since it started and there are a lot of bums who have the players and trash game iq.

honestly, i see folks quit 7 out of 10 times unless they have a lead in the 4th quarter.

my issue is, keep playing all year and dont try to hide behind “the game is dead” because once the teams are evenly matched you cant compete.

every year its the same thing, in a month once the high end cards are flowing:

the cry babies wanna quit playing.

im saying keep that same energy till the next madden comes out.

for a bit of context:

I been playing MUT since madden 12 and i been playing regular madden since its inception.

i also played Joe Montana, Game Day, 2k, and old school Tecmo Bowl and Atari Football on the 2600.

The game is easy for me, because I been playing over 20 years and the meta is pretty simple to solve.

I been a Ravens fan since they were formed, so I ALWAYS run a Ravens theme team no matter what, and i hit 50 pretty early in the year.

all that being said, i alternate between usering Deshon Elliot and Ray Lewis as a user.

Deshon as my sub lb for my pass defense, Ray for my run defense.

i get picks and tackles with both.

Deshon has secure tackle for 0 ap and Ray has tackle supreme for 1.

most folks depend on the same corner and crossing routes out of bunch, and I have a simple fix for that offense.

the quadfather/king henry glitch is pretty simple to solve too, secure tackle and flowing to the ball keeps it under control.

you gotta beat the rb to the hole and force them into your teammates.
