phatalerror said:All-game Hurry Up isn't "fun", it's positively obnoxious. It's not only not the way any real-life team plays in real life (due to fatigue and the complexities of being coordinated on every play), but it deliberately exploits the user control interface limitations of the defending player.
Let's be real here: There are two situations where competitive real-life teams run Hurry Up: When the game clock dictates that they do so, or when a specific personnel mismatch makes keeping up a fast pace preferable. The latter is extremely rare, and I seriously doubt that most of the Hurry Up Spammers could even positively identify in the moment what the defensive personnel are.
I know this: I make heavy use of shell defenses because: A) Madden's defensive AI is already horrible, and, B) Shell is the best way to force weak-minded, low football-IQ offensive users to weary themselves in a protracted fight for every yard. And I'm sure that's not fun for you.
You have a heavy misconception between arcade, sim and real world. This is an arcade mode. There is no “football IQ” there is madden iq. You can win games anyways you chose to. And if a certain play styles makes you butthurt, buddy you’re playing the wrong game. In leg AM where I reside, cheese on cheese crime is all you see, when I get shells it’s an easy game.
