I've still got a grey strip on the bottom of my page on Windows PC. There's no advertising, it's just a grey strip about an inch high and it's semi transparent, but driving me crazy lol. Anyone else? It's just this site so I assume it's not me.

I'm sorry, i use a network wide ad-blocker to prevent those types of things from ever reaching my internal network: https://pi-hole.net/
Have you also tried loading the site in an Incognito (private) browser tab to see if it's the same? Could it be an Auntie Anne's ad somehow? Please let me know if there's anything I can do to assist, i'm a computer janitor by trade and happy to play tech support if necessary.

I can close the grey bar on my iPad—but now it’s been changed to make it more annoying by popping up again—but on PC there is nothing, no ad, no way to close it, but it looks like the same bar as on iPad. Maybe it will hold advertisements later and have a way to close it?

“Computer janitor”. I like that lol. I’ll try the ad blocker, thx.

Fun weekend project and definitely does NOT require having a Raspberry Pi to set it up. Can run on almost literally any computer from the past 10-15 years, 1GB of RAM is totally overkill for a little DNS blacklist appliance, such as Pi-hole. Although, there are other options, if you prefer to have a local, say browser-extension running on your actual machine. I just prefer to have it at the network level, as it's easier/faster and allows everyone to take advantage of the ad-blocking, including TVs, consoles, all mobile phones and tablets, etc.
Or, if you're comfortable setting up a virtual machine, you can absolutely run Pi-hole virtualized. In fact, i've got one of each (Debian VM & RPi3B+) as redundancy is key when it comes to DNS, avoiding any potential downtime if/when we need to reboot something quickly.
Thx, yes, I prefer to run with a browser extension so I’ll see how it turns out. There's no ad there now so I was curious if it was just me.
