GT Moss or RR Peters at CB2??

I guess i'm sticking with Moss-man as my Slot corner, DRC & Peters still doing work on the outside.  CB4 i continue to waffle back and forth, between Exclusive Khyree (he gets Reinforcement, but no Bottleneck and no tackling ability, which is potentially a deal-breaker) or Revis, who is still fantastic, although he requires 1AP.  Lately i'm leaning towards Revis, as his Secure Tackler has come up clutch numerous times for me, especially using DB Fire 2 to attempt to defend against the various Heavy Raven style / goalline formations where dudes just want to Vanguard cheese all day.

I'm still using Bottleneck on Randy Moss, as it's nice to have the option of running all four corners with Bottleneck, but very rarely am i actually using this, or calling much Man Press.  Everyone gets receivers who can insta-beat the Bottleneck, that meta was short lived.

I chose him from my Comp Pass Golden ticket pack, looked at his abilities and attributes and then auctioned him off because I have guys that are pretty much 99 OVR across the board with chemistry boosts, etc.

You aren't wrong and it always makes sense to take the coins and use those to reinvest into your squad.  OVR rating does not matter one bit... stats barely do.  Heck, normally i would tell you that Abilities are everything, however at this extremely late-stage in the game cycle, even normal abilities barely matter anymore, as most of the high-end cards get a little of everything.  What truly matters at this point is the baked on X-factors as passive abilities.

And at that, Moss (CB) absolutely excels.  He fits basically any defensive scheme and can play almost anywhere on the field.  I started with him as outside corner, before ultimately moving him into the Slot.  Having Reinforcement + tackling abilities on my Slot corners is VERY beneficial for trying to defend all the Vanguard cheese we're seeing online everywhere.  Coupled with Universal Coverage and that elite height, he's an absolute monster.  You can even slap Bottleneck on him for 1AP, although we'd need to then pay retail (2AP) for Secure Tackler, but we have a ton of ability points on defense now.

Most of those stats are based on minimum thresholds, so for many things, getting above 90 will be nearly as good as maxing things out at 99.  Man Coverage might be one of those exceptions, as i believe there is a direct calculation against your opponent's route running statistics, but please don't quote me on that.  Hopefully other, more experienced and knowledge community members can help fill in the gaps, or point out any mistakes i've made.  Would never intentionally misinform you.

PLEASE feel free to keep the questions coming, so many wonderful folks in this community helped teach me the finer points of the game, figuring out which abilities even work, versus which don't (or are exclusive to last generation of consoles; PS4, etc.) is half the battle.  EA's in-game menus and limited information is at best misleading, if not wholly inaccurate.  We're basically forced to do a ton of homework to even understand how the game plays.

At the moment i'm debating or attempting to evaluate this new Corner (Witherspoon).  No Bottleneck, no tackling ability (Secure Tackler, nor Tackle Supreme), but he does get UC + Reinforcement.  I probably only have enough cards to build one of these final Redzone Royale sets and i'm a sucker for anything 49ers related, even if i don't use him, i may ultimately end up going with BCB.  Purdy being stuck with Slinger 2 is a real drag.

Good luck with your squad, man.  Enjoy the July (and August) M24 experience.  Will we be seeing you in M25 next month?  I tried to avoid it, but dropped a pre-order last evening while picking up CFB25 for the kid (and perhaps myself, as well).  =)

Are we able to own multiple play books and combine them in any way?

I want to keep the playbook I use normally, but add some formations for mobile quarterbacks from another play book.

Is this possible?

You cannot combine playbooks, although you can take 3 random cards (70-79 OVRish? i think) and use those to build out various Playbook SETS.  If there is a specific team's playbook you are looking for, simply build the set, then choose either Offense or Defense (or Coach, etc.) and go nuts, 100% guarantee you will get the one you are looking for.

A ton of people have been enjoying and using the Spread Playbook, or Run Balanced, etc.  These are what would be considered "Alternate" playbooks, meaning you will not find them from the regular team sets referenced above.  You can also build out ALTERNATE Sets, however these end up giving you a random card, so you might be searching for a very long time before you randomly get the one you actually want.  I am not sure, but you might be able to buy these Alt playbooks from the Auction House.

Even if we were limited to special teams and 5 or 6 formations, I think everyone would like that.
