It's cool to have to metas but I like running my own scheme of Dime normal defense and playing zones. That's where I'm more of a success.

so you should play, and someone should stream for the mut.gg people to watch. I'd tune in, if you don't wanna play than you're a keyboard warrior. If he doesn't want to play, he scared of someone exposing his "meta defense" so play then...

My only question is, what isn't considered meta at this point? and why would anyone run anything that's not necessarily meta. It stands for Most Effective Tactics Available. I run a combo of 61, 3-3, Odd, Cub, Big Nickel. All of that in some way or another is considered meta. On O I've run eagles bunch offset, packers bunch str, Trips TE, Bunch TE, I'm currently running spread, slot offset, double stack, tight slot open. Like good on you for understanding metas and how to beat them, but what do you run? and how or why would you consider it non-meta? who in this community, that is knowledgeable about the game and what is effective is gonna come out in their favorite teams playbook as opposed to a meta one and run random formations? 

To not run, and understand the meta is to willingly put yourself at a disadvantage, why would anyone do that?

Hard to call anything ”dominant” when the offensive cheese is as persistent as the defensive.  I am getting better at pre-snap adjustments and anticipation that limits damage from persistent Vanguard rushes/RPO/Drags/Corners. It helps tremendously to have the right abilities and X-factors on the field for the meta you are up against. Also getting better at running against the run-commit folks, although the best of them beat me handily because they simply have more practice, and most often, intricate knowledge of how to place defenders so that 99 AWR blockers run harmlessly past them.

it's definitely a defense that will help you win over half of your games just because people get impatient and throw a bad pass into coverage. It took me awhile to get used to the fact sometimes man coverage will just box something, but it's inconsistent and it won't box everything all the time. Put 3 good man beating routes on the field, be patient, try to take short yardage losses or throw it away when it isn't there. The biggest thing though, when it is open you can't miss the read, especially vs cover 0 when it's open it is a 1 play TD.

this is a great formation because you can't press TEs or HB, and post wheel shallow has an S post that will also fry man coverage most of the time and bottleneck doesn't work on it.
