Herbert or Allen? And a thought to consider

I play a lot of squads duos with my buddy and we throw deep a lot. I have had 97 Hurts but he has just been playing like crap lately. Do they do that? Do they start making cards play worse when better cards come out? Because he was doing things I had never seen. Any insight would be helpful

Allen is the better option.

Herbert is the best QB in the game not named Stabler. 

He throws the best deep ball and with his free Gunslinger he's viable all over the field. 

Allen is great but he's not on Herbert's level.

and to your other question - sometimes cards absolutely start playing worse after some time. For a week Flacco didn't miss a throw and then all of a sudden passes were sailing everywhere. I have seen this with a ton of cards over the years in Madden
