It's unbelievable how many times a company will show us that their record profits are all that matter to them. You, your enjoyment of their product, your willingness to volunteer unlimited feedback, the integrity and function of the game DO NOT MATTER .00000000001%. 

It's either that, or we are dealing with the biggest group of absolute morons ever assembled on a development team. I'm not ruling it out, tbh. If you've ever had the displeasure of listening to an EA employee drone on with company speak while you're just trying to get the pack you rightfully paid for, or get the card that should have dropped but didn't, or get a fix to any of the miriad of glitches that happen every single season of every single MUT ever, you'd realize that if brain cells were dynamite these people wouldn't have enough to blow their nose.

The uniforms are 25 coin quicksells. Lol there has been two tiers if not three so far this season that those were the reward. The players you get are outdated by the time you can physically earn them. In fact this season most of the players were either outdated or close to outdated by the time they were even ANNOUNCED/REVEALED. 

And nothing is free. Youre giving the game your time, most people have spent at least SOME money in MUT, and everybody spent money to buy the game.

This sense of entitlement this whole generation has is crazy, especially when it comes to game devs and young people entering the workforce etc. Like devs constantly blaming players for their own shortcomings, laziness and greed. Its a bold strategy cotton, lets see if it pays off for them.

Definitely nailed it. I literally just posted basically the same thing. Its an astounding sense of entitlement in the new generation, particularly in thr workforce. Games are one of the worst industries with it, but it's all or nearly all of them. Look at tip culture and the food service industry, same thing. They all think they are owed something while simultaneously not even pretending to hide their annoyance at the very existence of their customers. 

Lol you nailed it, "stop bothering us! just shut up and give us your money" is basically how they feel.

Michael Vick was last season's reward and is still viable. Ray Lewis will be a 95 OVR with like 94 speed at MLB, that's entirely viable. I have no idea what you're talking about. The only player I can think of that was completely outdated before being released was Barry Sanders. So that's like 1/12 cards?

I am 32 years old. I work a full time job AS A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER. Like I said, I usually side with the players here, but I have spent maybe $20 on this game since it was released to get a Lamar Jackson card for my theme team and that's it and I'm still sitting at a 92 OVR team right now just from the rewards I've earned. And I don't even play H2H! I do solos and solo battles and that's it. 

I speak from literal experience when I say the rewards this year have been tremendous from the season/comp passes. Now, if you want to talk about the Challenge rewards, have at it. Those rewards have been utter trash.

well since you dont play online then maybe rewards are good for you. but for most ppl rewards have been trash, with 0 ap abilities in the game most cards going forward are useless.......NO solo battle rewards,NO WL/ mut champs rewards, bnd trash, 25 coin uniforms and 10 k coins, midfield packs are not even mid lol redzone packs with core elites , giving out 85s, 87s, etc in solos are def not rewards in january  are not rewards

All of those rewards are just chances at earning auction players tbh.

The only thing that matters is the free players you get from the passes, and those players have been absolutely money. Not to mention the free players you get from watching streams like Pola-Mao and Tariq Woolen.

Complain all you guys want but the players from the passes have been great. Solo Battles rewards suck ass this year but it's honestly refreshing playing Solo Battles on MVP instead of the highest difficulty and just having the CPU cheat me on every play so I can kill myself getting top 5.

I just got the reward for reaching Level 28, a Star Elite Pack.

Inside this "Star Elite Pack", I got (1) 70 OVR, (1) low 80 OVR & (1) 88 OVR Division Dynasty Player.

Do you consider this a Star Elite? Considering there are 95 OVRs released and most competitive teams have many 93 OVR players, Elite has to be in the 90s to me.

I sure as hell do not consider this "Star Elite". If you consider this Star Elite, I hope that you get nothing but 88 OVR from your packs! If EA considers this "Star Elite", I hope they make "Star Elite" profits this year!

I mean I get where you're coming from, but you have to understand the offline player experience is night and day difference versus an online player.  You mentioned that Hendricks is still viable at any level - false, nobody uses him online anymore because there are not only several better players, but ones that get lurk artist for 0 AP.  Vick viable? Nope, now we have the SFL and HRM stack so nobody online is using him.  Ray Lewis wouldn't make my team TODAY let alone in 5 weeks or whatever when I get him upgraded (I COULD put him in at MLB #2 but that position never sees the field in my D so either way he's not going to play).  All that to say, as an online player most of these rewards simply aren't going to make a lot of teams sitting at 93-94 overall.   Are they fine for offline?  Sure!  But the OP I think was speaking more from an online player's experience, not offline.

What does it take for a 90 OVR or 91 OVR? (4) or (5) 88 OVR or 89 OVR?

I earned that pack by completing certain objectives! It wasn't some random welcome pack or anything like that.

I think you're confusing "viable" with "the best available".

Are Hendricks / Vick / Lewis the best available cards? Absolutely not. Are they useable and viable considering they are free, which allows you to spend elsewhere? Yes. 100%. I don't play H2H But I do play House Rules and my lineup absolutely goes toe to toe with other people despite them having the best cards in the game.

Vick doesn't get SFL but he does get HRM (a different form of it) and GS, which is absolutely all you need at QB unless you're awful at the game. Hendricks doesn't get LA for 0 AP, but 1 AP is not a huge difference and playing him really just depends on your scheme anyways. I use him because I play a 4-3 defense and need 3 LB's who can play coverage.

If you're an online player the reality is that you're gonna need to spend money to compete. It's always been that way. This year is no different. I, as a 90% offline player, notice that this year the difference is that I don't need to rely on finishing top 1-5 in Solo Battles to have a good team where I can buy things from the auction house. The reward players have allowed me to utilize those players and spend coins elsewhere while still having a very good OVR team for where the current meta is.

I just really don't understand these criticisms that EA isn't giving out the best cards available for free in packs. That just makes zero sense and no game ever has done that.

I still use Ray Lewis, Channing Crowder, the 91 BND Blitz player, Ty Law, Madvent Cooper Kupp, and Barry Sanders, along with others. For people who don’t spend money, these rewards are great.

For starters, since you only play HR....Mut Champs and H2H is HUGELY different than HR games as in the opponent difficulty, schemes, and requirements to win.  Additionally, you stated that HRM is a different form of SFL but they're totally different abilities actually!  Finally, you 100% don't need to spend money if you're willing to put in time in the AH (which I did for years back when I had the time).  

Maybe since you're the only one in this thread with this opinion you're just a better player online player than the rest of us - congrats if so!  Otherwise, if you come into a game against me using Vick, Lewis, and Hendricks you are at a distinct disadvantage which I'll exploit because they just don't hold up against some of the theme teams going right now.  CAN you do it and win at times?  Sure!  Will you consistently win in an actual competitive mode where winning and losing means something (not HR)?  I'm skeptical!
