Not as good as lynch.
It seems like he doesn’t break as many tackles because the freight train X factor is actually better than the angry ones one.
With Angry runs, once you juke or make a ball carrier move before an interaction with the defender, then you’ve already used your “angry runs”, if that makes any sense.
With freight train you can juke or make a ball carrier move before you get touched and still win your first interaction with the defender (for the most part).
Thats my general understanding and experience with both of them. Hope this helps.
I sold Beast Mode to get the coins back from grabbing Irvin I’m stuck with Emmitt and as much as it pains me since I’m running a cowboys TT and somewhat of fan I think Beast Mode is a better back he was every bit as fast and broke more tackles. Emmitt was supposed to be a Beast Mode/Barry Hybrid. Hes not a bad back by any means he makes plays but he feels more like an L.T./Terrell Davis Hybrid
I think CMC might have been slighlty better (not including X Factor), but Smith is pretty good so I'll probably keep rolling with him.

Yea he's right, freight train is better. if you make a single move with angry runs, it's done for that play even if you don't get tackled yet
hes actually been playing better for me than beast mode did.

One counterpoint to Angry Runs is I feel like it works on passing plays too whereas Freight Train only works on running plays.

bro barry is back to number 1 for me now. freight train, juke box for 1AP. demon. Emmit will be my power back and they’ll come out in different formations
i set it up so Emmit is RB1 on line up and power back,
Barry is RB2 and 3rd down back 1. they then get split carrys

unreal tip. appreciate this lots my guy, after reading the descriptions, that is so valid. angry runs wins the first interaction vs freight train breaking the first tackle. big difference in wording that i missed

Both have benefits. Angry runs will (should) get you past the first defender whether you juke/ hurdle/ spin/stiff arm/ truck even if there is no contact. But that first move (interaction) is what the angry runs benefit is.
Freight train won't help you shake anyone prior to contact. Neither are a guaranteed interaction win though.
However, in my experience freight train wins less often than angry runs.
That being said, Emmett is the best back I have used all year. I hate saying that as a Giants fan but it is what it is IMO

It's really hard for me to argue with 99 SPD, 99 ACC, 99 AGI, 99 COD halfback with Angry Runs. I totally did not realize that Angry Runs gets used up from a juke move, so i've kind of screwed myself getting used to this ability, first time i've truly used it this year. I only had the 93 OVR Barry Sanders, which had to run for six 1+ yard plays before activating his own X-factor ability and Freight Train was definitely more reliable, especially in short yardage situations, but goodness gracious, i feel liek a total degenerate running boyz down with Heath Miller's Vanguard X-factor (at TE2) which helps ensure I can get to the outside edge, by often pancaking as many as 2-3 defenders, it can be extremely nasty to defend against.
I'm coming from a 99 SPD CMC, with no X-factor. McCaffery did feel a bit more "smooth" overall running around the field, but i've since moved him to 3rd down RB and can bring him in to split carries if/when Emmitt gets tired or knocked the fuck out. I won three Superbowl Run "superbowls" last evening, wanted to do what little I could to try and stack a few coins before heading into next (S5). I'm going to really miss that game mode. Grinding Comp Pass for x2 Legends packs felt liek a huge waste of time when I could potentially make hundreds of thousands of coins in a single evening.
