Kind of a dumb question, but something that’s been bugging me. Does anyone know how the three ‘top players’ are chosen to be displayed at the top of h2h games and on the ’my team’ page? Is there anyway to select which players to have there?
No but the players that are there are your best players with abilities so if you want a certain player there you can put an ability on them and they will show up there only if they are a higher overall
I’ve found that EA prioritizes some positions over others.
I had an 98 Wr with an ability but no X-factor. I then had a gold 99 Re with an X-factor and abilities, but EA chooses my receiver even though they are worse overall.
EA also uses abilities and X-factors to organize it.
For example:
Ability > No ability
X-factor > Ability
X-factor & Ability > Just X-factor or Ability
Multiple abilities don’t seem to make a difference compared to a single ability.
I guess the whole position thing makes sense. I’d rather have a QB in my top three than a D-line.
Im not exactly sure how EA’s “Algorithm“ works, so take everything I say with a grain of salt.

highest overall if you have no ap on them/ if you have ap the players you have ap on take priority

Totally agree with prioritizing WRs, that's what made me post this.
Just got a 99 Jalen Ramsey and put acrobat, mid-zone KO, and shutdown on him. But my top player still includes a 99 randy moss with deep in and deep out elite (no x factor). Damn shame cuz that jalen ramsey card art is bomber.
My other top players are 99 rodgers with slinger and him (gambler x-factor), and 99 Davonte with route runner (double me x-factor).
...

That's what I would have thought, but it's still showing a 99 randy moss (w/ deep in and deep out elite - no x-factor - 2 AP) over a 99 jalen ramsey (w/ acrobat and mid-zone KO and shutdown x-factor - 4 AP). Makes that logic fall apart.

Hilarious, LOL. Mysteries of the universe.
I have Drake London (one ability) and Calvin Ridley (one ability) in my top 3 over Andre Rison with 3 abilities
It goes in order of position. I believe that it goes QB, MLB, WR, CB, HB, FS/SS or something similar to that. The first 4 are 100% correct though
It would be nice if we could select our top 3. It would be funny to see someone select 3 bronzes as there top 3 and end up having a god squad

I agree. It would be funny to see that
