How are you guys running offense against all the man blitzes?

Ive been struggling the last few days offensively against all of these man blitzes I go up against. I’m running the Chiefs playbook and I can’t get any runs that are half decent, even if they rush 3 they insta shed and stuff me behind the LoS.

Sometimes a screen play will work but you can’t run them much or they’ll get lurked, I have one TE attack play that works good against man blitzes but it barely gets me 5 yards and will be lurked after that, my corner routes never get open unfortunately and none of the mesh plays in this playbook give me enough time for anyone to get open. I think a need playbook with more mesh plays that allow me to block my TE but idk what to do tbh.

What playbooks, formations and plays are working for you guys?

Jets - Gun Tight Y Off:

4 plays that really work:

Inside Zone.

Jet pass.

TE corner, 3 great man routes.

PA Go Slot Cross.

Every play makes the user pick their poison.

Are you running any abilities on your O-line or receivers? I’ve had issues with their D-line insta shedding and my corner routes not getting open. Not sure if it’s my formation or the fact I don’t have abilities on those positions

No abilities yet. You have to be willing to establish the inside Zone, and mix in the jet pass. It puts so much pressure on the user.

Side note, I am on current (now old) gen, so the blitz is not as glitchy.

Also, use motion from compressed sets. I am not going to give details, but is really jumbles their coverage.

On next gen that TE post play is god-like it gives me so many options. The jet pass is hit or miss but the inside zone play is great as well especially with post up on my guards. The screen pass is a nice mix-in as well. By far the best formation I’ve used it’s made the game so much more enjoyable

I love not having to worry about every single game going against some glitch blitz 😆. Us old gen madden players have it pretty good right now to be honest cause the game is pretty good even though playing defense can be a pain.
