How do you stop corner routes playing zone?

Yeah I hear ya, been playing madden for like 25 years but this is my first year actually taking MUT seriously so I’m having a great time with the God Squad still lol. I wanna run a packers chem but there are like 5 usable cards at this point and they did our team diamond so dirty they gave Clay 78 block shedding  wtf

The one thing zone doesn’t stop is corner routes. Man works better for corner routes

That’s tough. I’ve been playing mut fairly avidly since 19 I love playing squads more than anything so if a theme team has one useable side of the ball I’m happy but I play solo Games and stuff to earn coins and grind and get my scheme down, I’m a theme teamer through and through. I like using my favorite players but regs doesn’t provide the same rewarding feeling of a win as winning in mut does and squads are just too fun. Colts fan til I die I’m out here throwing to Isaiah McKenzies Kickoff card with 82 harvest Pinter at RG I’m sure you can use a TT if you tried just gotta be able to make up for the weakness of some spots, it’s fun but frustrating bc sometimes your cards just cant keep up. I had core good Alex Pierce catching TDs the week LTD AKA Luck dropped I switched off the TT for a bit right before he was announced

I really recommend any sort of cover 2, with two deep out zone ko's on your deep safties. These ko's not only give you those nice knockouts, but they make players react much quicker to throws, and since they are deep halves and the ball has to travel so far, there is almost no where in that half that people can fit the ball and not get it knocked out, they can be covering a seam, but still react fast enough to ko a corner route. As for hard flats on 30's, you can do that through coaching adjustments by pressing your left stick in the play call screen. 30 yard flats help, but I've found the player that stops the majority of corner routes are these deep halve ko players. I would pick up Krause and that redux Brian Dawkins for cheap ish options

The most generic way to cover a corner route in zone is adjusting your curl flats(purple ones) to 30 yards and choosing cover 3 or cover 4 so you have an over the top and underneath guy defending corner routes. Man coverage can stop corners, man can be OP but it all comes down to your pre snap adjustment. You need to choose the correct combo between inside/outside shade and overtop/underneath(correct combo as in you predicting the WRs route). If you choose right the coverage will lock down any route, if you choose wrong then your CB is getting cooked. Man is a huge risk/reward.

Agreed, and with the 3 Harvest champ CBs being top end man to man archetypes + that +3 MCV Strat its working out pretty well for me. Can still throw in some zone too they all have high enough ratings.
