How do you stop the drag routes

Would FZKO help and / or what would this do for corner routes, if it’s the deep one would FZKO still play it?

In theory, FZKO should help with stopping drag routes. But it's not going to help with corner routes you'll still want dozko for that. Zone KOs care about the distance and the location of the throw not what type of zone the defender is assigned. This is why if you use the popular adjustment of 25-30 yard flats you use Deep out zone ko on cbs and not flat zone ko.

You should learn to take the good with the bad. You’re going to give up somethin, especially in zone. Can’t glitch your way to covering the entire field.

Cover 3 Hard Flat stops drag routes just user the middle and jump the middle of the field and once they clear you they get passed off to the flat routes.

Of course, this leaves other routes (corner routes, out routes, etc.) open so you'll have to adjust accordingly.

FZKO doesn't really do anything here that shading couldn't also do. FZKO is really not useful unless you run a cover 2 defense to give your outside CB's some extra reaction time.

Like others have said, you can stop drags just by using hard flats without any ko. Personally, I'm willing to give the short throws to drag routes up if it means stopping everything deep.

hard flats and hooks both set at 5 yards will help if you don’t want to user it
