Madden is way more than just MUT, I’d assume the majority of madden players don’t even play MUT. My understanding is that gameplay improved in general, and a lot of updates and QOL things were done for franchise mode, which seemed to be a big focus of that make/break comment, I think EA would probably consider things more of a make than a break at this point. I don’t think I’ve seen many complaints that can be applied to Madden in general, and while I wish MUT was in a different place, it shouldn’t be conflated with Madden as a whole.
MUT is their money maker and they advertise MUT more than anything else, it should be a huge thing for EA to focus on. The problem is that EA only cares about money and selling packs and giving the customers a fun game mode means absolutely nothing.
They mailed it in with every single promo this year. Packs are the worst they ever been with a million store offers, rerolls are completely pointless and awful, overdoing the LTD cards, limiting presents and giving us the worst presents ever and almost no way to get them, garbage rewards, glitchy menus and gameplay, random disconnects.
MUT is a watered down, stale, boring money grabbing machine and it's the worst MUT ever without a doubt. I took 2 years off from MUT and decided to give it a try this year and this has been the worst money grab ever.
