How do you think Power ups will be this year?

Do you think it will be like in years past except for last year where most players end up getting power ups or do you think it will be similar to last year where only Legends got power ups and AKA's had their version of power ups? In the catalog menu it has the Power up icon under the LTD icon. I would like to see them bring back power ups in full force just like they did before last year. With the low overalls and players starting out with low speed I can definitely see them bringing them back. A player like Jacee Horn who already has 2 cards out a 80ovr and a 84ovr would be perfect for a power up to be released eventually. What are your thoughts on how they will do Power ups this year?

I liked them the last year they were out but honestly it was just a giant waste of coins, having to buy them and then buy training for them. IMO It was only good if you couldnt afford to get the best version of the card. Much rather prefer the way it was last year if I had to pick, However if they brought back power up passes I would be satisfied and maybe make the power ups available through solos to avoid having to pay 60k for a card just bc he played on 6 teams and everyone wants him.

Time will tell but the fact that there's not any power ups currently in the game as far as we can see is telling to me. In mut 22, we had a lot of power ups for core elites at launch. This leads me to believe power ups will be limited to legends like last year or they're being saved for something later. Provided that they're actually in the game of course.

Unless they get a significant revamp for 24, I hope they stay gone.

I agree with the first part at least… if we were getting the MUT ‘22 & earlier PowerUp format, they would have dropped already with the core cards. The fact that we don’t have them now probably means it’s the exact same thing as last year with Legends (and I guess AKAs) where you could PU a very limited amount of items.

I think it will be spot on like Madden 23’s. Some programs will utilize them, and some may ignore them completely. Aside from specific AKA players last year on my theme team, I don’t think I did a single powerup path for a player.

Power ups are stupid and I’m frustrated people are asking for them back. If y’all ain’t careful EA might listen. Power ups were a scam and you drank the kool-aid. They can stay gone.

I’m hoping for no powerups this year.

This. Probably just AKA and Legends again

I would wish they bring them back full force. Both training points and most low overall cards feel worthless without them. I didn't enjoy how just because this guy had 1 ap lower of an ability so the 97 is better than 99. Most players should get the same abilities and power ups make use of older releases than trashing in December a November release.
