How do you use Post Up?

I've seen many people talk about how important it is. I use it to double team a defensive end when I'm running outside or rolling out in that direction but what are some other instances where I can use double team for an advantage?

Put it in your guards and let it go

I have it on both guards and the center, works well for me on runs up the middle.

Will the ai double team on its own or does it have to be done manually?
