How good is Fields release without gunslinger?

I know recently it became common knowledge that gunslinger doesnt do much if anything for quarterbacks that already have a good release/its essentially a waste of AP on those that already have a decent release. 

AP is getting tight lately, ive never run him without it so I dont know, does anyone know if hes one of the ones that doesnt really need it or does he? 

Already wasted it on Vick back when I had him because it was before I knew about this and turns out he was one of them. Thanks in advance for any input.
