EA is consistent at one thing, being rated one of the worst companies In America, they also hold the distinction of being THE worst in back to back years, that’s harder than winning super bowl back to back. Unfortunately they hold monopoly over football and while that is in place and people are spending money, they don’t care and no improvements would be made. If say people stopped buying packs for a full month as a collective, it Would push the envelope. Right now we’re in April and fools still dump money into this lol.
In this "make or break" year, they certainly broke.
I'm willing to bet a significant percentage of the player base ain't coming back next year

It's a slippery slope and i'm starting to wonder what i got around the house that is of any value to resale because my team is getting good. But then i have to deal with chocolate not being enough to get the top tier rewards and so where do i find more chocolate since i cant win at the House Rules. I'm one of the many who flooded in when the game came available on Xbox Game Pass. I bet pack sales skyrocketed as new players who were behind in their card collection came in and got destroyed in H2H.
But House Rules and H2H remind me why I should avoid the $150, $100 packs. Well actually I'm probably just a person who dreams about petty cash winfalls... saving 0.02 /gal on gas, BOGO bread, finding a $1 on the ground... so also realize he socioeconomic segregation and peer motivators that EA utilizes in the card shop... i think. I guess thats the right way to label my thinking of 'lol, who the heck is going to spend $150 on a card pack knowing it's going to be even more worthless when Madden 25 is released in a few months." it it is probably still a better $/hour of entertainment spending than an evening at the Gentleman's Club or a day at Disneyworld. All of which are too rich for me and must be meant for the children of doctors or upper level corporate managers. Or those hooked by the purchase pleasure principle... a term i invented but haven't yet wrote a scientific phycological doctoral essay about yet. Its based on an idea i got while watching an old dave chappell show. I also learned from my 30 straight h2h losses on EA Soccer 24, that someone's team is always gonna be better, so the fun is either playing the CPU at settings that lead to a 45-0 win like i did earlier today. They announcers, especially that sneering one, say all the nicest things.... so nice and ego stroking... and much nicer than when he says maybe i need to lower the difficulty. And if must do H2H, and its like 90% of the games where I'm unable to make yards on offense, then I'm going to lose. Might as well make it look like i'm giving up a freebie.. run the wrong way, throw interceptions, 30yard sacks, blitz everyone up the middle for consecutive plays, but don't quit out and try to get out of bounds as often as possible, and use all time out. Anyways, i just wanted to share, cause it looked like you'all needed a hug.
What a ramble Haha im really hoping you were having a late night with some liquor cause I don’t really even know what you were even trying to say in all of that.

What?

They are definitely up to something, above my head personally, but just know they are increasing profit with this move. They know we are junkies, MUT is the fix and they have the market cornered.
Law412 said:They aren’t starting with ring of honor to start giving back bnds from doing sets unfortunately. EA killed that off and i doubt we ever see it again in game.
Are you saying that because you know for sure, or you don't think that'll happen?
j1336 said:OH and EA soccer has a much better market. So does The Show. List much more and relist is easy or not needed. The markets all crash to zero quickly though. No reason to buy one card over another except by lowest price. Cards that sell at max are the coin sellers.
The show has a fantastic market. Fifa’s is just a little better Or whatever the fuck it’s called now, it’ll Always be fifa to me

I think the rational behind it is this
"For a large percentage of the MUT Population, coins will be significantly harder to acquire, thus in their mind, they will have to acquire coins by another method -- Buying packs/offers from the store, which would equal profit for EA from a MUT Population they didn't get profit from before."
For those who already have a large coin stack, it wont be as difficult to make some coins because you can buy and flip LTDs, but those who work the AH and make their coins the other way, like sniping/selling low priced cards, building/selling sets, ect., will be greatly limited. Basically the days of working the AH, making 5-10k a pop each card sold all day long are gone for the most part.
And those that do decide to buy store offers and such to help with their coin stack, it will be a pain in the neck trying to sell anything because everything is selling at the same price ratio. So unless you hit an LTD or highly desired card in the pack, your coins will grow very slowly. I believe the Pay to Play Model will backfire eventually, either from the masses not wanting to pay over and over again, the lack of desired content keeps getting worse and worse, or a competitor somehow is able to get NFL rights and enter the market. My personal belief is, "I paid $80 for this game, i should be able to enjoy it, without dumping $100s of dollars into the game to keep enjoying the game". I will not be buying the game next year for sure.....
Rant Officially Over.... 🤣😂
People should do like me, when I realized the Au was fucked up, I turned it off. I didn’t go in the store and buy all kindsa shit If we could just all agree on that strategy, then maybe…. Ahh fuck it
SquishySoldier21 said:If they had any ethics or integrity yeah, the market would flow naturally and fairly. EA is very much the opposite. Even when it's not as blatant or obvious as it is now, theyre ALWAYS controlling the market somehow. EA doesnt even care about LEGAL things, they literally break the law, commit criminal acts, on a daily basis. They CERTAINLY cant be bothered to have any ETHICAL or MORAL compass. Lol
It’s definitely ridiculous that they are setting minimums for card prices in the AH. Absolute slap in the face to NMS players.
max4pf said:Are you saying that because you know for sure, or you don't think that'll happen?
I’m saying that because it’s 100% been the case for every single promo dropped this year. Every set last year you got back the cards you put in, including ring of honor. Every single set for this madden you do not get a single card back from the sets, not one time has it happened so I don’t know why you think theyd bring it back just for ROH. EA killed that off and like I said I highly doubt we ever see it again. I hope im wrong
max4pf said:If that's the case though, you'll basically be able to get any card in the game for cheap af. Once the 98 LTDs get reduxed, same with those. I don't think this community actually enjoys playing the game and just wants to watch their coin count go higher. For the first time in YEARS, great 98/99 ovr cards are obtainable on release in MARCH.
Can't obtain the cards if the dudes you're selling to get them won't sell , and especially when you list them for their bare minimum value 3 times at 24 hour intervals!
max4pf said:Their business model has literally always been to ignore the community because people will spend money regardless. If people leave, they add a crazy special offer. It's all reactionary because there will always be someone willing to spend money. That's why pack strikes and stuff similar to that never actually work.
Does EA constantly make unpopular decisions sure but I have seen quite a few times now where people were calling for an upgrade that was overdue to get that very player in a release within a couple weeks. I totally agree with the second part of your post. There are people who like one sport, football, and play this game all year long. Some of those people if they have money to spend will on a good pack offer. No strike would ever work because a good offer for a great LTD people will break ranks real quick.
I genuinely do not understand why anyone would spend money in this game. Time after time I will match up to teams with all the shiniest players and not see any real difference in how that team plays. A better player will beat me most of the time, a worse one won't. Having the latest version of some pretend player who might be 2% faster or something is a waste of time and, I'm sorry, but if you spend $$ on packs because you think you'll win off of it, you're an idiot. This game is 70% pre-determined BS, 25% stick skill and basic football knowledge and 5% blind luck. If you really believe that sticking some nonsense AP on the newest version of Ray Lewis or whoever matters and you spend money to get him then you deserve to be robbed frankly.

That is true, and I wholeheartedly agree, but I think there are ways where they do ignore the community. A player getting an upgrade is a good example of a decision they make to make more money. I think they tend to ignore the community when what they want doesn't result in them making more money. That goes for gameplay changes, pack odd changes, shit ability buckets, etc.
