I don’t want to give EA another 60-120 dollars plus the needed $1000 minimum in DLC in either game just to compete online. I’m staying on M24 at least until the new year. Anyone else?
I might for a bit after M25 but then quit entirely.
hadn’t played since M20 , but I realized the grind just isn’t for me.
I'm staying on 24, and playing ncaa along with it.

Needing to pay 1000 dollars to compete is a myth...
ill hop on every now and then to play franchise but ncaa is calling me
Absolutely not. Abilities & Xfactors are the death of Madden.
It's like when COD went to jetpacks

Some people want to spend their time playing football and not Wall Street

I'm trying to resist the urge to pre-order anything. If all goes according to plan, perhaps i'll scoop the game (M25) first time I see a $35 sale, which often happens around Black Friday -- the game is kind of bad/boring/broken without basic abilities until then. College football is honestly looking to be the better of the two releases, but neither are looking particularly engaging or elite.
I'm already beyond sick of donating more of our hard-earned money to EA's cause for a basic roster refresh. We'll see how long I continue this type tough talk. August will be here before i realize it. Hard to believe we're nearly halfway through July. Oof, i'm old.

if it was such a myth then why dont the top players go NMS?
I purchased both new football games, but will likely keep M24 to play ultimate team on.
To me this was easily the worst year in the history of MUT. I won't be buying M25
I think a lot of us had high hopes when EA said this was a make or break year for the franchise and M24 needed to be better. What they actually meant is that they needed to make more money from packs.
Pack prices and odds were woeful. No TVP. Most rewards were an instant quick sell for pitiful amounts of training. Worst of all were the introduction of blatant pay-to-win strategies like the extra Superbowl and ROH tokens locked behind a paywall.
Add to that all the unfixed bugs and unbalanced gameplay. I still haven't received my rewards from the last house rules in May and EA won't help.
What a mess. And I've no reason to think next year will be any better. Keep your money, kick on with M24 to scratch the itch.

Because they can buy SB Light It Up tokens and other occasional items you can't buy on auction for any price.
