Its interesting because most of the MCS players and other streamers are in their 20s
Are you an AARP representative?
mvandor said:Top streamers have multiple income sources from Twitch, YouTube, sponsorships. Most aren't making a bundle but they are living. Problem is how uneven their revenues are and the shelf life of their streams. Most are associated with a specific game or genre and their income depends on how popular the game and how long viewer interest lasts. Only a few are making big bucks because they have reached a quasi-celebrity status like a Dr. Disrespect or a Pokimane which gives them freedom to just chat or move across gaming genres.
never knew pokimane was a gamer. i followed her on IG cause I thought she's cute lol

That's correct - Twitch takes half of the $5.99 and the streamer takes the other half.

mehhhh triggggers
jimshredder said:Only if they're Jake Paul or Mr Beast territory with millions of subscribers
I think it comes out to .10 cents per every subscriber, so 100k subs gets you 10k per year
Plus you can a little bit extra for lots of views
Made up numbers/stats are awesome . Just Twitch alone if someone has a base subscription to your channel you make over 2 dollars , some people are tier 3 subs which is more . Then people can send them tips and some other things that equal extra money in streamers pocket . Also the guys generally diversify themselves with YouTube , Tik Tok (for now) , Kick . Also there is a huge gap between Jake Paul/MR Beast than almost any contact creators , I believe MR Beast is worth like 300 to 400 million .

This the safe word for edgy teenagers nowadays? Stop idolizing streamers bro they don’t actually contribute to society
Idk prob like 40 he looks hella old but he don't really be getting views like that so he make so many videos
How is this even MUT related? Rather creepy as well.
I’m so old, I can remember life before Star Wars was a thing. I think I’m gonna retire from my day job and stream Madden and call it “Old Madden School”. Ha ha
This thread smells of jealousy. Y’all worried about other guys situations because you have nothing better to do than look for something to shit on.

I'm definitely the resident grumpy old man around these parts... meaning I'm a lot closer to fifty than twenty. Forty is the new twenty though, m'right?

Whoa, really? Now that is quite old. I almost used this as a point of comparison, as i was born the year the original SW film came out. It wasn't called "Episode IV - A New Hope" back then, merely Star Wars.
49er football & Star Wars were the only two "pure" remaining passions from my misspent youth... however, Disney has done a bang up job trying to do what EA has done to our beloved Madden franchise. I'd rather give up my left nutter than be forced to sit through the sequel trilogy EVER again, specifically Episode 8 - TLJ. Rian Johnson has such a big, round, punchable-looking face. Oof.
Not sure how i feel about the new Acolyte trailer. Trying to keep an open mind, but it's a real struggle. However, i absolutely LOVED and adored Andor. One of the best shows (not merely Star Wars content) i've seen in a minute.

We’ll, eps 7 was good before they ruined it with 8 and 9. Rogue One was good as well.

Not to mention alot of them like Kmac, ZAN etc have youtube, sponsorships, and websites with ebooks they get paid from, plus alot of them play in tons of paying tournaments besides MCS.
