tbh just tired of these kids going on youtube finding op runs and just running all game. I get it it’s hard to pass for some, but just running is so boring and mindless.
4-3 Even 6-1 - Cover 4 Quarters
- Base Align
- Pinch and Crash the DL
- User the MLB.
Any run to the outside gets cleaned up by you / the safeties, any run to the inside gets cleaned up by the DL. I'm curious what the OP runs are right now. At the start of the year it was mainly the Stretch runs with the built in bubble/screen throws.

Be better at Usering
Understanding where the run is going to go based on the formation(s) .
Learn how to loop around blockers.
Learn how to run parallel while maintaining distance enough, to not get caught up in the wash going after outside runs.
Forcing the runners back in to the pile of players. Its okay to over pursue a run as long as you are dong it with a purpose.
Learning when to shoot the gap or when to take on a blocker freeing the CPU to make the tackle.
Having enough patience and forethought to not spam the hit stick when that feeling overwhelms you.
I have had zero problem stopping the run. I come out in Nickel with four defensive lineman (BNOG works well)...if after a couple plays that ain't working...I move to 6-1...if that don't work I move to 5-2. In every case my defensive line is defensive lineman with no outsiders on the ends and inside stuff on the DTs...this strategy shuts the run down. On offense I start off running the ball...if you refuse to stop it (because you want to hang in there with 2 or 3 defensive lineman) then I will continue to do it. Put together a solid defensive line, throw on a couple abilities...problem solved.
