I got to level 20 in probably 1.5hrs. Just do a solo season game or two against the computer on the freshman difficulty and you probably will be there. Then do the ultimate alumni solos that are out and get to 70 stars for the 3 elite player items or champion in madden. I have about 5 hours left out of the 10 and did both of those.
I personally say play the 10 hour trial just for mut rewards for madden 25. You might enjoy the game you might hate it but to play a game for free, why not? You have plenty to gain. I'm still waiting it out and saving my energy for madden. If I get bored or the game get extremely cheap later I might play it for kicks or if they start giving more rewards for mut then I will give in and get it. We just gotta wait to see what EA do in the future.
I like the Franchise and Road to Glory. I haven’t played CUT bc I don’t wanna spend hundreds just to compete

Some people have had good luck playing and winning a National Championship.
Winning the National Championship on Freshman Level gives a Field Goal pack and a Hail Mary pack. I got a couple good starters from these reward packs. I think if you win at a lower level and then win at the next higher level the rewards are better than if you keep playing at the lower level. Meaning if you win on Freshman Level it is worth advancing to Varsity Level. These games go fast (shorter quarters)!
In general the rewards for playing solo seem better in CFB than MUT. I like that I got a lot done and I only had to play 3 Head to Head games for Field Pass XP. The House Rules only rewards 500 coins, so I would avoid playing House Rules.
I read the the solo challenges, which were locked, are working now. I think playing one solo challenge is part of the orientation field pass and there is a pack for completing the orientation field pass.
I chose some popular playbooks when doing the offensive and defensive playbook challenges and then sold the playbooks for a decent amount of coins. Check the auction house to see what playbooks are going for, I was surprised by some. You get packs also for doing the different playbooks when you get enough stars.
I have a question for you....Did you have any issues making a user catch and getting credit for it in the Michigan State Heartbreaker challenge? I Made every type of catch and did not get credit for it and did not get the 4th star. I even used X and fell to the ground in the backfield and did not get credit for a user catch. I am not sure if that challenge is glitched, or if I am doing something wrong?
Wow, funny you mention that specific challenge. It is one that i struggled with THE most. Initially, I was trying to do what you suggested, dumped off a quick screen pass to my HB and performed a user catch. Zero progress. It wasn't until the very last play of the challenge, after I had basically given up, that I was able to heave a prayer into the back of the end zone and managed to click on to my TE (Mark Andrews) and perform a leaping grab. That seemed to count, finally rewarding me with all (5?) stars.
It wasn't easy and my initial attempts definitely failed. Thanks a million for the extremely detailed response, i only won a Freshman National Championship, will try the next tier up, perhaps as soon as this evening.

I ordered the Bundle last weekend. There were sale discounts and EA play discounts, so it was a good price for both Madden and CFB. I didn't want to miss out on the last Madden 25 token, and I like that we are not forced to play H2H against people who buy better players.
I played some more this weekend and won the National Championship on the highest level. This level gave me (2) field goal packs. Both packs had 60 OVRs and 70 OVRs, nothing higher. I was surprised because I got an 88 OVR from winning a Varsity National Championship. I guess it is random luck?

Glad to hear there's at least some potential for decent rewards from the offline grind. I have no real desire to get involved in some sweaty ass online H2H at the moment, especially not against max teams. I'm enjoying being a college casual, while saving up what little energy these old bones still have for M25 in a couple short weeks. I keep forgetting to request some PTO time, no way in hell i'm missing the potential for Day 1 glitches that seemed to plague CFB. That could set us up for the ENTIRE year. It was just sheer dumb luck I managed to wake up early Easter morning (during MUT23 cycle) which funded my squad for the rest of M23. Heck, i've still got ~15M coins I haven't been able to donate on that old account... which is after i managed to get scammed while attempting to hook players up who were close to finishing their M23 Rookie Premiers.
There's just SO many players and teams in CFB, it's difficult for me to keep track of anyone. And i didn't attend a D1 school, so i have no real allegiances or loyalties with college teams... unless/until they release a college hockey game, heh. Then you'll see me screaming about my Tigers, who semi-regularly make a Frozen Four appearance.

Word on the street is that EA nerfed the Field Goal packs. If you can trust anything on teh internets. But it's very much on brand, so i do not have a hard time believing that EA is greedy.

Having all the in CFB teams is great! I got to play the Warhawks in the Semi-Finals. I never would have guessed they would be my opponent.
I have not looked into much either...playing casual like you.
I need to figure out how much it helps to either get playbooks that match my player chemistries or get players for the playbooks I like to use. If you have no favorite team that makes it easier to just adopt what is best for the majority of your best players.
I use to love playing Hockey. I recently downloaded NHL because it was free.....It is nothing like old hockey games. It is way to difficult to score a goal. Using the right stick to shoot and L1 to pass and left stick to skate is very un-natural to me. I have since abandoned it for CFB.

The packs started out great for me!
They could have done what some are saying. I looked at the CFB forum and there was a lot of chatter about how the solo seasons were the only thing worth playing and about the packs.
I think when I looked today, it appears that coins are the only rewards remaining if I continue to play solo seasons.
Maybe there is a limit on the number of packs you can get from solo season play?
