I don't understand pass protection

my opponent's pass rush was insane, so I decided to record it to analyze it later. but I can't wrap my head around it

one second into the play - my RT Lucas Niang gets pancaked by Jared Allen. what stats affect this? strength, weight, impact blocking?

Allen: 270 lbs, 90 str, 85 ibl // Niang: 339 lbs, 91 str, 86 ibl

one moment later my RG Will Shield is buried by The Gravedigger. I know, The Gravedigger is good, but Shields is not a pushover either. and what was that? a finesse move?

Shields has 91 pass block finesse vs Gravedigger's 81 finesse moves

i personally don't think it matters i do notice that smaller guys have better edge rush than the tall and stout individuals  but i still don't understand interior rush at all cause it's a coin flip wether they shed or not even with interior abilities.

in that clip niang your rt got beat by a finesse move. if you look at allen he jabs outside and uses a swim move to pin his arms down, and pushes niang over and the blow by

that's finesse move for allen not power move so strength really not going matter as much

I was thinking about getting Niang 😆 after seeing this definitely no. thanks for the video

blocking in general is horrible, I'm using 6 of my 7 AP atm on blocking and it's been much better since I did that, run pass protect on your qb, use linchpin on kelce, etc...

from what I read the defender dictates - STR matters those look pretty even, but Allen probably has better PMV and Niang must not have close to equal PBP (pass block power) just assuming haven't even looked but based off what I read...

how is that a finesse move, it just looks like a standard rip which should be power unless I'm missing something ?
