I play on old gen and I run a very boring 3 TE set with run plays and play action rollout passes. Its effective but it makes me hate the game. Anybody know a consistent passing formation or have route combo tips for old gen that theyre willing to share?
Sound like we have a cheese play convert here. Welcome to the game of football. A quick tour, we read defenses so start with that, we go through read progression on pass plays and don't rely on "meta", money, or glitch routes. We do not drop back 30 yards to bomb a 20 yard pass we play from the pocket or scramble when necessary. We actually play to enjoy the game of football and not just for the crumbs fed for winning a meaningless H2H game.
I think you will like it here. Good luck. BTW find the plays that work for you there are enough copycats already.

Out of curiosity do you consider bunch cheese? Big part of high level bunch and trips offenses is to make reads progressions

Not necessarily. Stacking, or bunching, receivers is fine and a solid strategy. What I mean is the clear, obvious, and repeated exploiting of AI errors. Rollout corners and other certain plays all have a place in football. So I'm not saying because of a formation or use of a certain play you are cheesing.

bunch is cheesy if you spam double post and verticals, Trips TE is cheesy if you spam verticals and rpo bubble. Anything can be cheesy if you just use the meta play.

Gotcha. Good clarification

I’m in packers so I don’t have verticals or double post. Used to be in eagles, twas fun

I've rotated between packers, jets, eagles. They all have some good things

I actually haven’t tried jets. I want the attached te for blocking
PA rollout passes work great for me 🤷♂️

jets and packers is pretty similar
If you would like a real answer, Pats Y off trips is a great offense that really doesnt rely on cheesing at all and when ran correctly is almost impossible to stop. Singleback Bunch X Nasty is great if you want to keep the run game partially involved, I like running bumch nasty because i can truly be 50/50 run pass, it feels like real football because you run play action shots off of a heavy run game. Gun Box Specifically out of the broncos playbook is pheonmanl, Deep Fork torches cover 3 flanker drive can be a easy cover 4 bomb and slot trail kills man. The auto motion also explodes off the screen speed wise unlike other auto motions that are slow this is much faster. Hope this helps

Lol, I bet they do. Looks like we got one here folks.
Just playing. That's great.I would suggest everyone that plays you to use a Tampa 3 with a little extra heat on the outside....helps melt the cheese.

These are all great options. Just beware the squat on the cross, the seam coverage on your deep fork and you can run man all day on the slot trail. Just adjust the defense accordingly and you can cove all three of these from a single defensive scheme. This will make sure your not stuck guessing which "money play" will be ran. Aalso beware using play action too much, even off a heavy run game. If the defense has a decent pass rush you will take valuable time with the PA animation.
Again though OP it depends on your style of play and your O line. What works for some won't work for all. Good luck to you.

All great tips, All of these offesenses require you to make your own adjustments as well. Slot trail doesn't get bagged by man if you put the outside receiver on a corner or a post and your rb on a wheel or a texas route. Ive made full offenses off all 3 formations that have multiple adjustments based on what the defense is doing. Madden is a chess match, your going to have to adjust
