I think Madden gets alot of unnecessary hate. It can be a real good game.

Ive had a few really good games this year but I may of Just had the best game that ive ever been apart of in MUT. Went to OT and won and it was alot of fun and so rewarding having to make adjustments and pull out a win vs a pretty good player. The game is definitely not perfect but ive always said madden was closer to being great than being a poor game and I still believe that. Its just so rewarding when you get into a good game and even when your on the losing end sometimes.

 Im sure there are guys out there who know all the glitches and can manipulate the game but when Madden is played how its supposed to play between two good decent players it can be alot of fun and rewarding. I'm on old gen and love how the game plays other than a few things like the FG block glitch and how runners fall forward often,pursuit being broken but all in all in my personal opinion Madden is a really good game or can be when played right. Cant wait for 24 and to play my first year on new gen.

 I think the strategy aspect of Madden is so underrated also. Making adjustments and trying to surprise your opponent or trying to get a read on what defense they are in. Having to change your coaching settings depending on the situation to making sure you have the right personnel on the field with the right abilities for certain situations. Love how deep and complex the game can be.

I agree 100% I actually really liked this year it would've been a great gameplay year if it wasn't the aka backs and I have been really enjoying this game recently getting wins in seasons.

Honestly aside from the stuff you mentioned, I’d have to agree with you. While every once in a while I’ll play an absolute gremlin who definitely doesn’t get enough sunlight, most of my games this year have been enjoyable

That handful of times where the game seems to play evenly and you get an opponent who actually wants to play football are great. Some of those will even be a full game. I had 1 last night. 28 - 24 win with him being on my 6 with 1 second left and going incomplete. Apart from the fact that in that last drive my secondary suddenly decided it would not compete for the long passes he was chucking up and that he completed one for 60+ yards eventually, it was fun.

Unfortunately, the game rarely feels even. Most of the time you're either a God or can do jack shit and you're playing idiots way too often. And far too many games are so obviously 1 sided that neither player can be blamed for quitting tbh.

The glitches kill me, especially the over throws and some of the interceptions I've seen where players just move through my guys bodies. Other than that I have enjoyed game play.

I think madden 23 is pretty good. WR need to play for the ball a bit more on deep passes when they are 1 on 1. I also think zone knockouts are bit over powered. AKA players don't really matter to me, I think maybe ultimate legends should be the xfactor beasts rather than the nobodies lol. could also give dbs and linebackers animations to catch the ball out the box rather then needing pick artist and lurker.

I had a good experience this year, it would have been a whole lot better if I didn't have stick drift make me sale so many throws, but that's obviously not on EA. overall, I'd give the game 7.5 out of 10

Gameplay was solid this year, definitely enjoyed it. Wish I could say the same for MUT but can’t with how it went (all of the glitches, etc).  Hopefully next year both can be great!

I think that's why the community tends to be so very hyper-critical... we've donated billions of dollars to this company and we're getting spoon-fed the same buggy ass shit each and every cycle.  Now, i have limited experience as this was my first year creating a MUT squad, but i've been a bit obsessed since December.  EA knows they've got a monopoly with that NFL license, so they're not really interested in investing in their franchise.  I came here for fatball simulation, but 80+% of opponents tend to spam the same play over and over and over, both sides of the ball.  Typically, if i avoid giving the ball away and manage to shut down my opponent's primary read, i've managed to have some successes, but it's been a bit overwhelming as a first time MUT player.

After tinkering with NBA2K `23 for a bit, it's night and day difference, that game is so much more polished.  I can't get through a single 2P head to head match (local) with my son without us noticing multiple potentially game-breaking bugs.  How am i supposed to explain to a 9 year old that my defender literally warped through his player to make a near-impossible pick.  And those are the tolerable glitches.  The economy-wrecking stuff (Easter Egg glitch, specifically comes to mind) is an absolute nightmare.  I'm embarrassed that i've become part of the problem and forked over our cash for some of these obvious money grabs.

All that rambling aside, i wouldn't still be here if i wasn't having fun.  Frustrating at times, absolutely, but the TT Remix promo was wonderful, IMO.  Made my Niners squad truly enjoyable again for the first time since maybe ~Feb?

Yes nothing like DB Blitzes/Sam Will Blitzes and DB’s who teleport and make better catches than your recievers. Or having Gus Edwards shake off half your defense and getting 6 yards every carry. Or the safeties forgetting they are supposed to keep everything in front of them and leaving a receiver wide open in the corner of the end zone. The game needs to implement limited play calls maybe 3-5 calls a game and then it gets locked from your playbook. Or have your offense recognize play calls when it’s someone’s 27th time running the same play. Or just design a real football game. 99 Patrick mahomes shouldn’t have 4/1 interception/TD ratio.

Madden always has some good aspects, but pep always overshadow them with the bad. Its like this for lots of games like COD and 2k
